Question: why on earth would an increase of black voters electing conservatives(say 20% instead of the normal 10%) correlate to a decrease in support from white voters (say 55% instead of the normal 60%)? Built into that assumption is a belief that voter loyalties rarely change or that identity politics are unalterable.

Talk about a serious lack of initiative & imagination. It assumes that all black or brown voters need to be bought off to gain their votes & that white voters wouldn’welcome a larger share of the electorate if the new voters had darker pigmentation. 😳😱

He may be onto something. I saw a man wearing a t-shirt that read, “Make Masculinity Great Again.” He happened to be black. Yes, only one man. But, apparently, he felt strongly enough about that message that he wore it on a shirt. I wouldn’t be surprised if many other black men are thinking the same way, but I would be surprised if a Republican received the majority of the black vote. Maybe Trump will get a bump in those votes, though.
