We have no Plan B if Ukraine falls, says Estonia
BBC News ^ | May 31, 2024 | Frank Gardner

Estonia considers itself a front-line state, a Nato member where its border guards stare across the Narva River at the Russian fortress of Ivangorod.

This tiny Baltic state, once a part of the Soviet Union, is convinced that once the fighting stops in Ukraine, President Vladimir Putin will turn his attention to the Baltics, looking to bring countries like Estonia back under Moscow’s control.

To help stave off that possibility, Estonia’s government has poured money and weapons into Ukraine’s war effort, donating more than 1% of its GDP to Kyiv.

"If every Nato country did this," says Estonia’s steely Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, "Ukraine would win."

But Ukraine isn’t winning.

Short of artillery, ammunition, air defences and most of all, troops, Ukraine is struggling to hold back the sheer weight of Russian firepower, glide bombs and massed infantry assaults that often border on the suicidal.

If you disagree, explain why you disagree. Your answer will (or might) explain where I'm coming from.

***Estonia needs to wise up. They were better off under the USSR, and Putin means well, so, if Ukraine fails, Estonia needs to give up too and fly the Russian flag***

Please go to Estonia, tell them that and then count the seconds until you get a broken nose! LOL

***Heck, all of Europe would be better off under Russian rule, and NATO needs to be disbanded***

This is the sort of thing a traitor would say. You don't deserve to live in a free country.

“it’s worth noting how many of these NATO countries are led by people who seem better suited to run a day care center.”

Good one! Nailed it.

The Iron Curtain protected Eastern Europe from Muslim immigrants.

What happens after Plan F provokes the use of nuclear weapons? At that point NOBODY knows where it will all end. It would open the door to the use of immense destructive power with unknown limitations. Potentially on a global scale.

Do you really trust the Biden gang with those kinds of decisions? All they’ve done since Day 1 is destroy everything they’ve touched.

I will keep it short. They were invaded and annexed by the Soviet Union - genocidal dictatorship on a par with the 3rd Reich with ridiculous economic system and traditional russian primitivism, depravity and overall shitness on top of that. A significant part of their population was murdered and replaced by russians, they rest had to live in poverty and fear.

This is the sort of thing a traitor would say. You don't deserve to live in a free country.

Yet, the kind of comments I posted are all over FR, especially in discussions regarding Ukraine v Russia, where people want Russia to win and Ukraine/Zelensky to lose and the U.S. to mind its own business.

So, do you now see where I'm coming from?

Then, you haven't been reading the many posts that occur on FR regarding the Russia v Ukraine war.

I would say though there are differences between today’s Russia and The Soviet Union.

Russia is still a dictatorship and an aggressive country. The USSR might have been much larger, but, Russia still rules with the same hostile methods. The word communism is not much used to describe Russia, but, like it’s said, ‘a rose by any other name is still a rose’, or crap by any other name is still shit.

Russia is copying the U.S. democrats, where any opposition to Putin and the Kremlin, will be dealt with by very unlawful methods, including incarceration without due process or even by death.

Countries around Russia have good reasons to fear Russia, and anybody that tries to find benevolent reasons for how Russia behaves, is completely blind. There are no justifications for having Russia invade its neighbors or for threatening its neighbor.

See???

I knew I could get it out of you without me having to explain where I was coming from.

In essence, you posted for me the opposite of what I posted...

And, you are 100% correct. Like I said, when you post why you disagree with me, you would get the answer from yourself as to where I was coming from.

The Iron Curtain protected Eastern Europe from Muslim immigrants.

You think that Russia had that in mind when they went on the quest to absorb its neighbors, by force?

Your post is nothing more than rationalization, and a complete nonsensical justification for Russia's aggressive methods. Empire building is not about protecting its neighbors from imagined threats.

North Korea is also Muslim free area. Long live the Kims ?

Anyway, by far the worst crap imported into Europe are black Africans, no matter if they are Muslims or Christians.
