How goes the battle? Are you feeling ok? Haven’t heard from you for a bit, so just checking in. We’re going through a hot spell up here....I had to give in and turn on the air-conditioning. It’s starting to cool down now.....aaaahhhhhhhhh relief.

That looks like last year’s protests out at Burning Man on the Paiute Reservation. I found it so funny when some protestor began saying, “We have Constitutional Rights!” Um, in the United States yes, you do. But on the Reservation, you don’t. It is sovereign Paiute territory and they can do whatever they darn well please.

Did you get a satisfactory report on your bloodwork yesterday?
The battle goes well. Today, though, jet-lag won. I was hit with fatigue about 10:30 and lay down for a nap. I woke up at 4:30 this PM. The air-con was out when I first arrived last week. I put up with it until yesterday AM. Then, I called the repair man, Ledlow Heating and Cooling. He came out the same day and the repair was quite reasonable. I have been enjoying the house ever since.
When Mom and Dad built this house back in 1966, they insisted an attic fan to be installed. They were told it wasn’t needed, that air conditioning would do the job. Nevertheless, they persisted and it is here. I am so glad. It isn’t used that often. But, when it is needed, it is really needed.

Oh, so glad you got the a/c fixed. I do understand, however, that fans can be a life-saver! I have them in every room (except bathroom lol) and because of these fans, I only have to pop the a/c on when it’s one of these days long heat waves. Normal summer weather and the fans are great. Reasonable same-day service is pretty impressive if it’s hot! I doubt that would happen up here.
Sure sounds like you needed the rest....that’s pretty much a night’s sleep! Good for you!
