>> You have to know if he testified for Trump life could be made very uncomfortable. He is not in a white collar cell but Rikers.

Agree, but if he’s subpoena’d to testify he wouldn’t have much choice. What did he get, something like 5 months? I feel for him.

Yeah, that’s the guy. Dershowitz says the Trump defense should be asking why the prosecution never called Weiselburg since he could/should have been able to corroborate Cohen’s claims if Cohen was telling the truth.

I wonder why the defense didn’t call him to testify.

And now I’m wondering if the accountants themselves ever testified, since they are the ones who supposedly falsified the records in the first place. The only way Trump could even be accused of being involved is if he specifically told them to categorize Cohen’s bills as legal expenses.

It makes me so livid that the corrupt “justice system” has those kinds of tools at their disposal in order to pervert justice. Every last stinking person who does that kind of crap should be forced to trade places with the prisoner they abused.

SPIT!!!

As long as Garland is in charge of DOJ there is zero to none chance the guy would get transferred to a lower level security. For the love of God, I think the guy is in his 70’s.

The judge wouldn’t let them call a couple of people

IIRC, Cohen said he paid $20k CASH which is totally untraceable and certainly could mean he paid them nothing and lied about that

The judge limited the testimony of the guy who is the GOAT when it comes to election law, so the defense did not call him

That also burns my butt. What reason can Merchan give for not allowing the defense to call whoever they think can make their case? You have to allow somebody a defense.

The state of our “justice system” makes me so angry.

I believe very early on several accountants were called in to testify.

Maybe if there was a re-trial he’d be out of Rikers by then, and could blow up the whole stinking case.

Poor guy is collateral damage in the unholy War Against Trump.

It’s sobering to think that ANY of us could find ourselves in that position — broke, in prison, health ruined, family and relationships damaged — at the hands of this evil machine.

Thank you President Trump for your courage and sacrifice, standing between us and that abject evil that is the leftist Deep State!

Ah yes. But it’s Trump - who doesn’t pay with cash - who is the one trying to hide what he is doing.

Riiiiiight.

Most judges are at least somewhat worried about getting reversed on appeal. This judge obviously could care less, trying to rig the game for conviction at any cost.

Also, how in the WORLD does the jury vote guilty on breach of FEC regs when the judge blatantly blocked testimony by the FEC expert?? There’s no counter information that the jury can weigh...

Yes. Or on a jury trying to talk sense to raving Trump haters and subject to possible outing and retribution.

People don’t care about this trial but they should.
