I think you have something there.   There has to be some reason they're all doing these things that are so obviously, blatantly harmful to their own country, and to their fellow citizens.

They don’t care for the citizens or for the country. They want power…unopposed power. They are psychotic tyrants. They want the entire world, but more likely they are just going to destroy it.
