BREAKING: Trump Jurors Dismissed for the Day

JUST IN: NBC reports that Trump's defense team is "newly animated" and have "cracked" a smile while the District Attorney's team looks "tense and apprehensive" in New York.

The moment came as the jury submitted a second note to Judge Merchan, asking him to give the instructions again.

"The District Attorney’s team looks tense and apprehensive. Todd Blanche, on Trump’s defense team, just cracked a tight smile. Trump, Blanche and Emil Bove, another one of Trump's attorneys, are whispering amongst themselves and look newly animated," NBC reported.

Jurors were then dismissed for the day after a few hours of deliberations.

"You must not google or otherwise search for information about the case," Merchan said.

Deliberations will continue tomorrow at 9:30.

Oh, when the judge dismissed us with the usual instruction that "the lawyers are going to want to talk to you, but you don't have to", I was out in the foyer in nothing flat and collared them . . . "WHAT were you thinking putting me on that jury?"

"We had other folks we needed to get rid of worse than we needed to get rid of you!"

That was a true statement. It was a bad, bad panel. Some elderly people with hearing issues, a bunch of young college aged kids with no life experience (not what you want on a will contest!), and a couple of folks whose English was shaky. But one lawyer said that after he asked me if I could follow the judge's instructions on the law, I responded "Sure. I work for a Court of Appeals judge. His name goes on the opinion. I follow his instructions!" He said after that he was sure I'd follow the law. And we did.

We will be finding out that the jurors were threatened with bodily harm to them and their families if they did not return a guilty verdict.
