JUST IN: NBC reports that Trump's defense team is "newly animated" and have "cracked" a smile while the District Attorney's team looks "tense and apprehensive" in New York.
The moment came as the jury submitted a second note to Judge Merchan, asking him to give the instructions again.
"The District Attorney’s team looks tense and apprehensive. Todd Blanche, on Trump’s defense team, just cracked a tight smile. Trump, Blanche and Emil Bove, another one of Trump's attorneys, are whispering amongst themselves and look newly animated," NBC reported.
Jurors were then dismissed for the day after a few hours of deliberations.
"You must not google or otherwise search for information about the case," Merchan said.
Deliberations will continue tomorrow at 9:30.

Only jury I got picked for was before law school (traffic case in small town Texas where not enough prospective jurors appeared and the judge sent the cops out to round up some townsfolk, which included me). Been on two venire panels since I got licensed, never got picked. For years, Texas lawyers were exempt from service, but somebody decided that wasn’t fair (though I would virtually never have a lawyer on a jury).

Well for one thing, the court usually had Fridays off. The judge changed it to Wednesday. Orthodox Jews are heavily for Trump. By making court be in session on Fridays and the judge not guaranteeing that court would be done before sundown, the Orthodox Jews could not serve. Another thing, the judge dismissed any potential juror that followed Trump on Truth, but not any juror that followed Biden on Twitter.
I was thinking earlier about whether or not any members of the jury have been contacted by sources within the administration or outside leftist groups with premises of big payoffs for the right verdict.
Lol, judge giving Christians more time to pray for Trump. We should pray that the holy spirit spirit works in the consciences of th3 jurors and causes them to unanimously reject all charges agaisnt Trump. Leave the judge gobsmacked and confused, looking for a therapy dog. Also pray that the judge and his daughter have the scales from their eyes peeled away so that they can see just how corrupt the left really are, and turn to Christ for forgiveness for trying to convict an innocent man
I can’t find anything confirming that. It appears from a google search that Merchans courtroom is always closed on Wednesdays because he presides over a special mental health court that day. And during jury selection it was widely discussed that Merchan himself dismissed a woman who posted vitriolic posts about Trump, and that currently on the jury is a man who follows Trump on social media and gets his news from truth social.

They do have to turn in their phones while deliberating. This is normal. Taking them outside of deliberations is pointless without sequestering them.
