Eric Clapton: 'Israel is running the world'
The Jerusalem Post ^ | 5/28/2024 | David Brinn

British rock guitar legend Eric Clapton moved one step closer to Roger Waters territory last week, telling an interviewer that “Israel is running the world, Israel is running the show.”

The 79-year-old musician, who has recently performed playing a guitar painted in the colors of the Palestinian flag, was interviewed on May 22 by David Spuria, an American Youtuber who hosts the popular Real Music Observer show.

alking about the recent campus protests in the US against Israel, Clapton criticized the Senate hearings in which university presidents were asked about antisemitism on campus.

“I was so enthused about what was going on at Columbia [University] and elsewhere. And then what I couldn’t believe, because it freaked me out, were the Senate hearings, which were like the Nuremberg trials, you know?” he said.

You need to put on a “Freedom for Rafah” concert, Eric. I understand the downtown area has been cleared out, so you could set up your stage there...

I think many entertainers hold a “The Jews control everything” mentality.

He’s in good company with Pink Floyd and the Novelist Gunther Gras. Ezra Pound at least saw the light towards the end of his life.

Looks like Clapton has gone off the deep end.

I went through my entire day yesterday without seeing or hearing a single Israeli live or broadcast.

He’s barking up the wrong tree. Needs to look under the skirts of the Bank of England.

...barbaric, murdering terrorists...

What will you call those who insist on relocating the same people here to the United States?

"They're barbaric, murdering terrorists."

"Let's send them to the United States."

Every soul is being tested, to show whether it is a sheep or a goat.

I believe that too.

“Nobody plays guitar well enough to enthusiastically support barbaric, murdering terrorists.”

I never got the Clapton hype. Never bought his albums or a concert ticket to see him play. Clapton is a decent guitar player and an OK vocalist, but does not deserve the accolades he has been given. After Cream, there is little of his dreck I care to listen to. After this article, there is even less.

Must have rubbed off when he played on Roger's "Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking"

Let’s not give in to the hyperbole so characteristic of The Left. Clapton may be a shallow thinker, but a Nazi?

Agree. Clapton got the vax and experienced side effects that scared him so much that he warned everyone to avoid it. As far as I know, he never backed down from that.

So hearing him blindly parroting the MSM now is frustrating.

Nope, not overrated Somebody had to be ‘that guy’, show up and start insulting his musical talent because they don’t like his politics, BlueState stepped up to the plate.

He’s definitely not an overrated musician.

I can nane a hundred guitar players that can run circles around Clapton. He’s an average guitar player. He’s overrated and stupid to boot. Muslims hate his music and would kill him if he were to play it on the streets of Gaza.
