Eric Clapton: 'Israel is running the world'
The Jerusalem Post ^ | 5/28/2024 | David Brinn

British rock guitar legend Eric Clapton moved one step closer to Roger Waters territory last week, telling an interviewer that “Israel is running the world, Israel is running the show.”

The 79-year-old musician, who has recently performed playing a guitar painted in the colors of the Palestinian flag, was interviewed on May 22 by David Spuria, an American Youtuber who hosts the popular Real Music Observer show.

alking about the recent campus protests in the US against Israel, Clapton criticized the Senate hearings in which university presidents were asked about antisemitism on campus.

“I was so enthused about what was going on at Columbia [University] and elsewhere. And then what I couldn’t believe, because it freaked me out, were the Senate hearings, which were like the Nuremberg trials, you know?” he said.

It was a slip he made. Subconsciously bringing an analogy up that revealed his deeper beliefs. To him the Nuremburg trials were an injustice. For most people, we would have just executed the SS but the World had to see it. The antiSemites wanted it hidden - what the Germans did. And like most ignorant lefties, for Clapton there is no history unless it fits his narrative.

Having said that, he is the greatest guitar player of all time. I listen to his work almost every day.

“ Overrated musician is now an overrated thinker”

He’s definitely not an overrated musician.

Good question. And if Israel were running the world, you’d think they would have found a way to carve out for themselves, more than just a tiny strip of land on the Mediterranean coast.

If I want his opinion on guitar-playing, I would ask him. On geopolitics, he should keep his thoughts to himself. But, everyone’s entitled to their own opinion. Thank you Eric for letting us know where you stand. See my tag line.

I guess he’s run out of things to say about how great and wonderful the blues is... all five notes and the pentatonic scale overly repeated and permutated... the fish aren’t biting... so, he virtue signals as a diversion.

He got a vaccine, had some issues, was outspoken about it once he understood how much he’d been lied to.

He had his 15 minutes, but missed it because he was just another junkie hippy who happened to be able to play a guitar. Meh.

Now he's an old, useless fart who craves relevance. To keep his narcissistic-personality-self in the spotlight. And that's about the highest praise I can heap on that fossil.

IOW, another entertainment industry nitwit supports Koranic Mass Murder. No surprise, particularly in the UK.

Clapton is a great musician, but a full-on Nazi.

Let’s not give in to the hyperbole so characteristic of The Left. Clapton may be a shallow thinker, but a Nazi?
