CNN legal analyst Norm Eisen said Monday on “Newsroom” that former President Donald Trump’s New York defense team hopes one juror will not follow the “evidence and law.”
Eisen said, “In terms of the arguments, battle will be joined around three issues. One: Can the jury believe the critical testimony of Michael Cohen, as it’s corroborated and supported by a mountain of evidence? In a sense, the prosecution’s entire work across 20 days of trial was to corroborate Cohen. Two: Can the jury find that Donald Trump, beyond a reasonable doubt, intentionally made that hush money payment to Stormy Daniels, 2016, in order to influence his federal campaign after Access Hollywood catastrophe, another sex scandal. Issue three: Did Trump participate in covering that up by creating false documents, Jim, including nine checks with his own signature on them.”

What mountain of evidence there is zero evidence of anything but knowing how this jury watches msnbc every single day they will convict regardless of evidence they will take a few days pretending they are actually deliberating and convict on Friday

In a criminal case, the judge can’t “overrule” a hung jury by finding Trump guilty. The Judge could order a new trial, deny a new trial, acquit Trump (like a JNOV in a civil case) but cannot find Trump guilty contrary to the hung jury
The judge is a scumbag who stacked the deck against Trump. I don’t know how president Trump can get justice in such a hostile court room. If the judge’s instructions to the jury were reported correctly the jury doesn’t even have to agree that Trump committed a crime. If these corrupt lowlifes throw president Trump in prison the people of this country better stand up for him.
The FBI is butt-deep in the jury process. The will have the jury room bugged, and certainly have informants inside the jury. These informants will identify holdouts for a guilty verdict, push for a guilty verdict in the jury room, and point the holdouts out for outside threats, bribes and influence.
Oh really? This judge isn’t supposed to do a lot of things. Doesn’t stop him.
Jurors will find Trump innocent of an underlying crime, but guilty of the charges just because they can. It won’t make any sense, will get reversed on appeal. It will confirm Trump a martyr.
