There has to be two reasons to falsify the records.

There is no starting charge of second degree falsification of the records unless it was for fraudulent. But if there was no ulterior motive it was not fraudulent. The felony extension would then have to include an additional reason they were falsified which was criminal.

So two reasons total and one of them must be a crime—or not first degree charge. And the second degree charge has expired so no second degree charge.

The instructions are false on the face of them.

Wow, we get to see what lawfare is like in Cuba without all the Cubans.

Newt Gingrich was on Hannity a few weeks ago, saying that in a perfect world, the Supreme Court would jump in and nullify this entire case because of how egregious the judge and prosecution has been throughout. I wonder if something like that is possible?

I’ve always been a fan of Jury Nullification....

But with corrupt leftist black-robed Judiciarchs like Merchan, it is a long road to hoe for anyone to get justice.

This judge is going to make sure trump is convicted of something so the Biden team can go after trump for it and of course cancel the debate with Biden saying he won’t debate a convicted felon

Cartel stooge Juan “Wetback Cur” Merchan is delivering for his south-of-the-border puppeteers.

So NY is a banana republic and since it’s a state in the USA, that makes the USA a banana republic.

Corrupt judges like this should look into what happens to corrupt judges in banana republics.

Prosecutorial judge Merchan is going for all the marbles on this one - a felony conviction because it is the predicate crime that lifts what would otherwise be a misdemeanor conviction to a felony conviction. He knows he will be reversed on appeal on this but so will he be reversed on the ton of reversible error he already made to get the biased jury to where they want to be, i.e., to convict Trump of a felony before the election. He wants to turn this over to the DNC cooperative media to ply the convicted felon narrative until election day.

Why do you think Merchan would not let the former FEC chairman testify that this was not an illegal contribution. Precisely because it would upset his plan to give the biased jury a lesser standard of proof for them to establish it was an illegal contribution. The guy is a complete dirtbag

Such an absurdity. These jurors (except for one of them) are not lawyers. Are they supposed to invent a statute that they think Trump violated?

What we are seeing with the current level of “law fare” is the fruit of unchecked corruption at the highest levels of our state and national governments. Proof positive that the horrendous corruption to our south has not stopped at our Southern border, but has spread like a virus throughout our nation. It will take strong medicine to cure what is a potentially fatal condition.

I hope Trump is keeping a list and when elected he goes after all of them. I am not for abusing the legal system the way they have but he should defund every damn one of them. All levels of government are subsidized by the feds with grant money and time to cut them off.

Unbelievable how an out of control banana republic judge can get away with twisting the judicial system. There should be a way that an appeal court or the Supreme Court can step in immediately to stop an obvious injustice.

Judge Merchan however sided with Bragg’s prosecutors and ruled the jury does NOT need to unanimously agree on the “predicate” crime Trump committed.

“In other words: If some jurors believe that Trump falsified business documents solely to cover up a tax crime, while others believe that he falsified business documents solely to cover up an election crime, the jury can still convict Trump on the felony-level falsifying-documents charges, despite disagreeing on the predicate crimes.” Politico’s Josh Gerstein wrote.
