The politician who tops the list of preferred running mates for former President Donald Trump in a new poll in a key northeastern swing state is not even a Republican.
Former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, who ran for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination but left her party two years later to become an independent, stands atop the list in a new University of New Hampshire Survey Center poll
Gabbard stood seven points ahead of multi-millionaire biotech entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, who was one of roughly a dozen candidates who unsuccessfully challenged Trump for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination.

I would agree with you if he were a younger man.
Hopefully, advisers are telling him that his VP choice will be a huge factor in November votes. Voters realize that his age is an issue, and that his successor is way more important than is usually is.
“Whoever Trump picks better be used like no VP before to do the dirty work.”
A couple weeks ago, some guy on War Room gave a pretty good recitation on the reasons why Peter Navarro should be Trump’s VP. Wouldn’t RAT heads explode if that happened?
As much as I dislike most of Gabbard’s policies, is she really any worse than Pence? Having her as VP presents several interesting scenarios which would scare the crap out of Democrats. Democrats will hammer her for what? Sharing many of their values? This will turn a VP debate into the best entertainment show of 2024.
Trump promoting a unity ticket, especially with a woman on the ticket actually helps with minority outreach. With the way Black and Latino folks are starting to shift their votes to Republicans, with Tulsi, more Black and Latino woman who are traditional Democrat voters will come on board.
“Did you NOT learn a god damned thing”
Exodus 20:7 “Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.”
“what’s the friggin problem?”
Do your homework. She supported a Socialist in a recent election. She worships the pagan gods of Hinduism. She really does not have a conservative bone in her body.
That’s the friggin problem.
Yeah; Matt Whitaker would be good. Hadn’t thought about him.
If Trump wants to put the Neocons and their mad march towards World War 3 out of business, he needs to pick Tulsi as just about every other candidate has shown that the Deep State will roll them on the issue. If Trump has other priorities, then pick someone else and roll the dice.
Seems to be the frontrunner now.
Or he might choose Haley. She brings money too, from her donors, and women voters who can’t stomach Trump. Trump said in an interview Thursday he ‘expects her on his team’ so don’t be surprised.
Though unlikely to ever happen, I’d like to see MTG as speaker of the house.
Nice to see the aw geez guy again

DeSantimonious LOST. Maybe you should join him?
That has nothing to do with whether she is constitutionally eligible for the presidency.
She wasn’t born in the United States but instead in a mere territory.
So was Barry Goldwater. So was John McCain -- at best.
Sovereigns historically have swapped territories back and forth like trading cards.
125 years and counting for American Samoa. We may have to give up Hawaii someday. That doesn't make Hawaiians less American. In Gabbard's case, both of her parents were American and she was born on US territory. If Goldwater and McCain were eligible so is she.
“That has nothing to do with whether she is constitutionally eligible for the presidency.”
That’s true. But sometimes a person has to use the brain God gave him and call on the powers of discernment.
I’m sure there are thousands of Satanists in the US who are Constitutionally qualified for the presidency. I wouldn’t want one as PDJT’s running mate. But that’s just me and YMMV.
I agree with you about J.D. Vance. I’ve read his memoir, “Hillbilly Elegy.” He understands MAGA and the Americans who are being left behind—working- and middle-class whites who have nobody advocating for them. He’s from a poor background. He worked multiple jobs to pay his way through college and law school.
He has served in the military. He’s tough and doesn’t back down to anybody. He is one smart guy and he’s articulate. Read his wonderful book about how he overcame his difficult upbringing and how much he loves America. It’s a true American success story. He’s a terrific writer. And he’s good looking on top of everything else. He could easily run and win after Trump’s term is over. And he doesn’t seem to be trying to be V.P. like Bergum who’s the flavor the month and whose looks remind me of Count Dracula. Yuck!
Ohio is solidly Republican. If Vance left the Senate to be V.P., the governor would appoint a Republican replacement. No loss for Republicans in the Senate.
Democrats are going to vote for Trump because of Tulsi Gabbard????????????
Trumps’s legacy is going to be choosing a Democrat to replace him in 2028 and beyond?
PULEEZE
That being said, Trump has made some disastrous picks in the past.
Sessions, Barr, Pence, Wray, Michael Cohen, you know the thing.
