Former President Donald Trump this week named several possible picks for his running mate in the 2024 presidential election, which he said he would reveal "sometime during the [GOP] convention" in July.

The former president also declined to answer directly when asked about his top three contenders to serve as his running mate, but he did specifically mention Sens. JD Vance, R-Ohio, and Marco Rubio, R-Fla., as well as Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-NY, and former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Ben Carson as possible choices.
The convention begins July 15.

God I hope not!
That means it’s not going to be Ben Carson.
It really can’t be Rubio unless he or Trump changes their state of residence... due to the rule about no state’s electors being allowed to vote for 2 of their own residents for Pres/VP.
Trump still have a place in NJ? I can’t seem him returning to New York.
He can change his residence to NJ for 5 minutes and then change it back after he wins.
If he announced his VP choice now, that would give the LAAP-dog media all the time in the world to attack that person before the convention with the desire to make them toxic.
It would take all the oxygen out of the room and make the VP the focus of the news cycles instead of President Trump and his campaign message.
It would take Biden off of the front pages and effectively put him back in the basement at the time when he's most vulnerable.
It's best for Trump to be aloof about this and keep stringing the media along. That way he becomes the news, not his running mate. Trump can make his message about him versus Biden, not Trump versus his VP nominee.

I hope he doesn’t announce it on stage. There are enough people who aren’t going to like whoever he picks and people who just don’t like Trump, that he may get booed heavily. That wouldn’t look good.

I hope whoever it is is a bolt of lightning with as much energy.
That would be Vikek Ramaswamy, but I doubt Trump will pick him.
JD Vance is the only logical choice
Vivek would probably be a good Secretary Of Commerce.

I bet Dems would successfully challenge a 5 min residence change unless evidence he had actually moved and taken up new residence.

Stefanik is working tirelessly to help Trump. Why shouldn’t he highlight her to the nation by placing her on the list? She may not be a pro yet but she damn sure isn’t a lightweight.
any VP will get grilled with questions about J6th, stolen election, whether they would have stopped the counting as VP in 2020, pardon for Trump, ect
