A U.S. Army Colonel reportedly shot and killed an alleged Chechen intruder outside the Colonel’s residence just north of Fort Liberty, formerly Fort Bragg, in North Carolina.
The incident occurred May 3, 2024, but the details of the shooting were reported May 22 and 23, 2024.
“Two Chechen men who spoke broken English were found near the [Colonel’s] home” and one of them, 35-year-old Ramzan Daraev, was allegedly taking photos of the Colonel’s children, according to FOX News,

In July 2021, he shot and wounded a armed male inside his home that his dog alerted on.
As soon as he fired his pistol, two Marines living on property as security detail shot and killed another armed male outside his home.
The dead actor and survivor were taken to the Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base in Ft Worth to be identified.
That was as much as he was allowed to tell me.

A retired one star gets a security detail?
Not sop.
There would be a reason active duty Marines volunteered for security detail of a Army General.
In 2021, he said he had 15 more years before he could publish his memoirs.
He was a POW in N Vietnam.
His wife was retired military and he did not know what she did, but when she passed from cancer late May 2021 he was surprised that several Pentagon people showed for her funeral.
I suspect that her funeral was how his location was found by a hostile entity.
Can President Trump change the name back to Fort Bragg when he’s back in office? Or is that the job of the SecDef?
