Trump Reveals Latest Condition Biden Team Apparently Wants For Debates
Daily Caller ^ | May 23, 2024 | REAGAN REESE - WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENT

Posted on 05/24/2024 6:46:35 AM PDT by Red Badger

Former President Donald Trump revealed Wednesday the latest request President Joe Biden’s team is apparently making ahead of the candidates’ head-to-head match up on the debate stage.

After Trump’s campaign continuously pushed Biden to debate, the president proposed the candidates debate twice, though there were a list of non-negotiables the Biden team wanted to make the event happen. Among Biden’s proposed standards were no live audience, a select variety of networks to host and only two candidates on stage.

Now there appear to be more. Trump told John Catsimatidis and Rita Cosby on 77 WABC AM that the Biden campaign is requesting that the candidates sit at a table for the entirety of the debate.

“I hear now we’re sitting at tables. I don’t want to sit at a table,” Trump said.

“I said, ‘No, let’s stand.’ But they want to sit at a table,” Trump continued. “So we’ll be sitting at a table as opposed to doing it the way you should be, in my opinion, in a debate.”

“But I agree to their requests because I want to debate him,” Trump told Catsimatidis and Cosby.

“I want him to tell us why he did that in Afghanistan, why it was the worst, most embarrassing day in history where we gave back — think of it — we gave them 85 billion dollars worth of equipment. 13 people killed, 45 people just so badly hurt —of our people — and hundreds of people killed overall. And we left hostages behind. I call them hostages. We left a lot of Americans behind,” the former president continued.

In addition to no live audience, Biden’s campaign proposed that the debates only be held by networks that hosted the 2016 Republican primary debates and the 2020 Democratic primary debates in 2020, The NYT reported. Those networks include CNN, ABC News, Telemundo and CBS News.

Another contention the campaign had was that they wanted the forum limited to Trump and Biden on stage. The rule would exclude Robert F. Kennedy, who had the potential to reach the 15% polling threshold set by the Commission on Presidential Debates. Kennedy did announced after the news of the CNN debate that he would “meet the criteria” before the deadline to participate in CNN’s forum.

Since, Biden and Trump have both accepted two debates: one on June 27 broadcasted on CNN and the other Sept. 10 on ABC News. Trump has accepted a proposal for a vice presidential debate on Fox News, though the Biden campaign has not. Instead, the Biden campaign accepted CBS News’ vice presidential debate proposal.

Biden’s chair can have a built-in potty.

Biden’s final demand: All questions by the moderators and all Trump’s responses to be printed out beforehand.

As I said yesterday, there won’t be any debates. The turnip will refuse to debate a convicted felon. That’s what this whole charade is all about.

I don’t know how anyone can eat tapioca or cream of wheat. Grits are the BEST! Oatmeal can be good, too, if made properly.

I never got the grits thing. I grew up in Connecticut, and Cream of Wheat/Rice and Maypo were the order of the day. My Canadian wife makes straight oatmeal.

Must be where you grew up.

I make excellent grits, especially cheesy grits, and my favorite sides are fried green tomatoes and bacon. I bet I could win you over.

Do you think Joe Pesci came up with that line? It’s just too good.

I wasn't considering the savory approach, and was assuming sugar or maple syrup as the main add-on. I am not sure what technique there can be in cooking grits.

It’s not the technique unless you don’t know how to boil water or stir from time to time, but more in the stuff you add, and how much of it. You don’t put sugar or maple syrup in grits. They need a bit of salt, and some butter, some half n half. Add grated cheese like sharp cheddar or gouda, and you have a winner. Best of all are the green tomatoes that are fried in bacon grease, also with said bacon. It’s a tummy pleasing meal.

I spend 5 years living in the South - ate all the food - Grits & okra the worst. My stomach felt better on burgers & fries, steak, and seafood.

That’s a shame.

All of those sound good to me, even the okra, BUT I will give you that okra is one of those things that needs to be prepared correctly. I like it best fried, pickled, in gumbo, or in Brunswick stew.

Now if chitlins turn your stomach, that I can understand! That’s one Southern food I refuse to make. Stinks up your kitchen, too!

We only had that once when I was growing up. Dad told Mama never again, and all of us agreed, including her!

They want to make Trump back out now that FJB stuck his foot in his mouth again and started this. Trump isn’t backing out. He would debate FJB standing on his head.
