Donald Trump on Tuesday insisted he would never push for restrictions on contraception after getting panned over an interview in which he appeared to suggest the possibility.
“I HAVE NEVER, AND WILL NEVER ADVOCATE IMPOSING RESTRICTIONS ON BIRTH CONTROL, or other contraceptives. This is a Democrat fabricated lie,” the former president declared on Truth Social. “I DO NOT SUPPORT A BAN ON BIRTH CONTROL, AND NEITHER WILL THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!”
Earlier in the day, the Biden-Harris campaign highlighted a clip of Trump, 77, from an interview with a Pittsburgh TV station suggesting he was “looking at” possible restrictions on morning-after pills.

“You will find it very smart. I think it’s a smart decision,” Trump further teased. “We’ll be releasing it [our policy] very soon.”

Those pills have been controversial among some religious conservatives and anti-abortion activists.

Last month, Trump distanced himself from traditional Republican policy on abortion by deferring to the states. Around the same time, he also ripped into Arizona’s 160-year-old abortion law, contending that it “went too far” by banning all abortions except those “necessary to save” a pregnant person’s life.
During his interview with KDKA, Trump — who is again running for the White House — suggested that the states will take point on contraception, too.
“Things really do have a lot to do with the states, and some states are gonna have different policies than others,” he told the Pittsburgh TV station.

The suburban white women who are on the pill are nearly all bat-cr@p crazy when it comes to the topic. When you tell them that the pill is a class one carcinogen, they do not care or don’t believe you. It’s brainwashing at its finest.
First of all morning after pills are not birth control. Second of all how could you possibly make birth control mandatory?

It is a STATE matter.

That is why Trump says he has his views as do many of us but wants it out of the hands of the Supreme Court (Roe V Wade) and back to the people - which we know are varied in opinions.
At the same time, we can support organizations that are out there giving women better options than to destroy unborn lives as if they are NOTHING.
I see now the topic is birth control methods rather than abortion per se. However, to me they are similar in some ways. With Trump wanting other than a single national law or court case to rule over all Americans on this issue, seems like his view on THIS aspect could mirror his view on abortion issues.
However, even women are affected by inflation just like any one else. The abortion issue, was merely moved from the issue of the Federal purview to the states were the issue belonged all along. Younger women may react more than an older woman would.

Men have no interest in birth control
They allow their sex partners to fight for it, advocate for it, undergo abortions birth control- hardly anyone is aware that chemical/hormonal birth control is a carcinogen the same level as tobacco - breast CA vs lung, ditto abortion- breast cancer causing. Care abruption of hormones

If it were switched and men were demanding women take toxic birth control and undergo abortion refusing to have extramarital sex then it would seem different but that is exactly what it is Men are passive about this issue but it serves their wants greatly.

I dont see abortion as birth control. I see it as murder. Implants, tied tubes and vasectomies need to be imposed on the criminal, druggie, nut job, and parasite classes.
The Constitution is silent about matters having to with a citizen’s sexual activity, including abortion and prevention thereof. It does say that in matters in which the Constitution is silent, the State may take action or not take action.
Therefore, Trump and all Republicans should refer all such matters to the States.
