Russia on Tuesday announced the start of tactical nuclear weapons drills close to Ukraine, in what it said was a response to Western "threats".

Throughout its two-year offensive on Ukraine, Moscow has repeatedly talked-up its arsenal of nuclear weapons and its readiness to deploy them if it senses an existential threat.

The West has accused President Vladimir Putin of irresponsible nuclear sabre-rattling.

Russia's defence ministry said Tuesday the drills were taking place in its Southern Military District, which borders and includes parts of Ukraine that Moscow claims to have annexed. It did not specify exactly where.

Here we are, eyeball to eyeball, brandishing live nuclear weapons over Donbas. This is no bluff on Russia’s part.

Imagine what happens if the posturing works. Suddenly every state will get nuclear weapons as their priority.

Recharging those battery-powered ones is uneconomical.

only Russia is doing that

“Here we are, eyeball to eyeball, brandishing live nuclear weapons over Donbas.”

What’s this “we” all about? RUSSIA is brandishing nuclear weapons over their failed conquest of Ukraine. Period.

And given Russia’s past performance this “exercise” may well be the opening act for a first strike against Ukraine and maybe even NATO.

I certainly hope that NATO nuclear forces are on alert and prepared to obliterate Russian targets if it comes to that.

The entire west is just brandishing every other weapon in its arsenal. With the threat of nuclear retaliation. Russia will do what it has to do.

The west keep escalating this conflict. Threatening to put NATO troops on the ground now.

This would never have gotten this far under Trump.

Biden and his bosses, including the UK are responsible. They want WW III.

Your statement shows you’re on Biden’s side.

So if I don’t support Russia then I support Biden? I take it then you support Russia?

“...obliterate Russian targets...”

Obliterating Moscow in exchange for the obliteration of Washington DC, London and Brussels would be an acceptable trade.

The few remaining billionaires in the world could pick up the pieces and start over. Just what Bill Gates and Klaus Schwab wanted. /spit

“The entire west is just brandishing every other weapon in its arsenal. With the threat of nuclear retaliation.”

Do you even read this nonsense before you post it?

NATO is threatening Russia with nuclear retaliation...that’s what you said here.

That means NATO would RESPOND to a Russian nuclear attack with nuclear weapons.

Tell us, please, why do you think NATO should not retaliate against a Russian nuclear attack?

Because Russia would not attack a NATO country with nukes unless they weren’t attacked by NATO first. Uke is not NATO.

I don’t support those who are putting Russia into this position. Donald Trump would have never let this get to this point.
The globalist/One Wolders hate Putin and Russia/Putin because they oppose Globalism and aren’t going along with the Globalists.

Obama/CIA instigated the coup in Ukraine and it went downhill from there.

Why would Russia use nukes on Ukraine?

Is Russia losing their conventional war so badly that they have to use nukes? Against a non-nuclear nation?

Seriously, if they do this then the year 2100 will come and go and Russia will still be a pariah state. If it still exists.

One more thing: Biden and his handlers are doing everything they can to prevent the corruption from being exposed.

Why do you think Trump was impeached over a phone call to Zelensky?

Why did Biden threaten to take away money for Ukraine unless the prosecutor was fired?
