Roughly 75% of Americans drink coffee every day.
That won’t be the case for long, apparently, if the elites at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, have their way.
Did anyone notice what they were talking about back in January during the 2024 World Economic Forum's Davos get-together?
During a recent WEF panel discussion, a reporter for Moneywise, in an item posted on Yahoo! Finance, reported that one speaker, some banker named Hubert Keller, remarked, “The coffee that we all drink emits between 15 and 20 tons of CO2 per ton of coffee.” Ominously, he added, “so we should all know that.”
Keller also noted, “Every time we drink coffee, we are basically putting CO2 into the atmosphere.”
What’s more, the production of coffee additives such as sugar and milk also puts large amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere.
While Keller didn’t overtly try to convince people to reduce or eschew their consumption of black gold, he must’ve had a reason for raising the topic.
In the aftermath of the pandemic, I now know that rulers and elites can, sadly, make regular folks believe -- and do -- just about anything.
They can tell them their job isn’t crucial. They can tell them they can’t go to the gym -- and can’t, in fact, leave their homes. They can tell them they can’t go to a loved one’s wedding or a family member’s funeral.
And they will be obeyed. In the future, the elites might be able to coerce folks into owning nothing -- and being happy about that fact. They might even be able to convince people to “eat ze bugs.”
But telling people to give up coffee will be a deal breaker, a bridge too far.

One of the “perks” (!) of being a totalitarian thug a-hole is the feeling of stepping on our neck, and us not doing or being able to do anything about it.
Guns. Gas-powered vehicles. Land. Meat. Coffee. Single-family homes. Our religion. Money. Free and fair elections. Truth. Freedom of every kind.
If we let these a-holes incrementally and with exponential speed take away our rights and our pleasures, then we deserve that fate - eating bugs in the cold and dark.
I’m for banning Davos. Or at least destroying the airstrip so that these ‘folks’ can’t land their private jets.

I’m not impressed with these people. They’ve never shown me the list of what I CAN have.
Oh please go after coffee, please…..
Eventually they will go too far and will be drug through the streets…
Every time you exhale, Mister Keller, YOU are putting carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
I suggest you cease and desist, Mr. Keller.

If those STUPID, CRAZY, IDIOTS take my coffee away, there will a war.
Too many coffee drinkers. Remember prohibition? Still got booze!
Never give up!
Do not drink airline coffee. Ever.
“ Yes, and these idiots are far far too stupid to know that.”
…no. They know that the average dimb bulb American doesn’t know. Teach nothing but art, ecology, sociology and courses about people’s feelings and this is what happens.
>I have been hearing these sorts of copes for 30+ years, and it has been wrong every time.<
We have deep state now.
This will never happen. I wouldn’t waste a single second worrying about it.
Them's fightin' words. Civil War II (and III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII) ahead.
Were it not for coffee (and air conditioning), the Deep South would be a wasteland.
I remember the South before air conditioning. There was always a pot of coffee on the stove.
As an aside, slavery wasn't just about cheap labor. White people couldn't handle the heat. Many owners of coastal Georgia rice and cotton plantations lived up in the Piedmont region during the summer months.
remember friends...larger framed people exhale far more CO2 than smaller folks so don’t be surprised when the PTB require serious dieting...or else.
Everything takes energy produce. Unless we build nuclear power plants, the energy we use to produce anything will put carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. I look for the Davos crowd to try to ban everything—including people other than themselves.
Mexican border black markets are going to be a busy place. I can see traffic stops in the future, instead of “I smell pot” it will be “Is that coffee I smell”?
They should kill themselves and save the planet.
The leading sources of CO2 are blowhards like Hubert Keller.
