Democrats and Republicans banded together to pass a bill on Tuesday aimed at blocking the Biden administration from banning everyday home appliances that run on natural gas.
The Hands Off Our Home Appliances Act, which passed 212 to 195, is one facet of a sweeping bill targeting the Department of Energy (DOE) introduced by Rep. Debbie Lesko, R-Ariz.
Seven Democrats voted in favor of the bill, which received no Republican dissent.
"I am saddened that we would need such a bill," Lesko told Fox News Digital in a statement. "However, as we have experienced under this administration, the Department of Energy has unleashed an avalanche of new regulations for household products, including stoves, dishwashers, washing machines, showers, toilets, water heaters, air conditioners, heat pumps, and furnaces."

senate and biden will do what...

You and me both Sir!
disguise it as a ‘pro blm/muslim’ bill-
But Republicans get to tell the voters they tried so the eventual backstab will be a surprise.
More legislative theater.
NOW do one for air conditioners. STAT!
Hope it has a clause to nullify state and municipal laws banning gas appliances, otherwise this bill is meaningless.
Kalifornia, New York, and other liberal states already have prohibitions from installing gas appliances in new construction.
Finally, at near the 11th Hour of Doh-Doh’s current presidency.
I am pleased that the House took the correct stance on this, but unfortunately due to the Schumersenate and the Bidenwhitehouse, it will become so much HOOHAA.
Has anyone noticed the warnings on small refrigeration equipment? Someone brought a portable ice maker into work and it warned that the refrigerant is butane. Yep, it’s a big lighter.
Much like today’s. ‘Right to Vote’ requiring ID and prohibiting non-citizens from voting....
....house passes, Senate can kill and probably will, B U T ..... more Ds supported this than the Right to Vote in the house, indicating more common sense, so this could pass the Senate and hand the hot potato to Biden.
Getting Ds on record is the objective, absent passage. Killing or prohibiting a vote in Senate is damaging, as would a Biden veto.
There are so few enjoyable moments anymore......that’s
why its really nice that Biden gives us these moments:
1. will he trip when he strides “manfully” across the WH lawn?
2. will he fall up the helicopter stairs?
3. will he fall down the plane stairs of AF One?
4. will he find his way off the podium?
5. will the bald spot on the back of his head getting bigger by the day eat through his plugs?
Rewatch “How a bill becomes a law” if you think this is anything but a waste of time.
Isn’t there a motion before SCOTUS regarding the regulatory authority of these unelected agencies?
And they say Trump would be a dictator.
Biden has been more of a dictator than any other president.
What ever happened to the free enterprise system . . .
We are told what shots to get . . . we are told to wear masks . . . we are told what vehicles we drive . . . we are told what appliances we can use . . . we are told what bathroom we can use . . . on and on and on . . . we no longer have a free enterprise system, with this form of government = we are no longer free . . . do as I say!
Let the Dim Senate or WH block it. Make the Dims own it. During an election year.
Like abortion, states right must be part of this. Federal government is too big. Let the states run their own stuff.
Without 2/3rds of the senate then the bill is dead.
This is the kind of no-brained legislation that should be shoved up the Biden administration’s @ss repeatedly in this election year.
It’s nothing more than political theater … but it’s the kind of thing that will resonate with a lot of voters.
