They're studying Facebook posts. They're using frame-by-frame video screenshots of faces to match with gargantuan databases of named faces. They're seeking and taking tips from "friends" and relatives and ex-boyfriends.
For the UCLA Jewish students who got into a scrap with pro-Hamas illegal campout protestors, no doubt after hearing a slew of antisemitic statements and being blocked from attending class, they're doing exactly what they did to identify and hunt down January 6 protestors.
According to the Los Angeles Times, which reports this like it was a good thing:
It is shaping up to be perhaps the biggest case in the history of the UCLA Police Department: how to identify dozens of people who attacked a pro-Palestinian camp at the center of campus last week.
The mob violence was captured on live television, but it took three hours for police to bring it to an end. Those involved left, and no arrests were made.
But the trail is not cold.
UCLA detectives are now scanning hundreds of images in an attempt to identify the attackers. They intend to use technology that captures facial images and compares them to other photos on the internet and social media to put names to faces, according to law enforcement sources.
The same technology has allowed police to identify suspects in smash-and-grab retail burglaries. It also was the heart of the Jan. 6 investigation, in which videos of those storming the U.S. Capitol helped the FBI identify many of the assailants and led federal prosecutors to charge more than 1,300 people. In those cases, investigators often were able to find social media images of the assailant wearing the same clothing as during the attack.

It is unlawful to block access to a public building at a school to a student. Even if they are Jewish.
Calling that a “provocation” turns the world on its head. Unless you are 1930’s Germany and then everything makes sense.
But I thought I’ve heard words are violence. So couldn’t the hamas-types be said to have started the violence by their calls for the death of Jews?

Even if the story were true, it still wouldn’t justify the attack on the camp. That’s not how justice works in America.
2) According to multiple sources, the men who attacked the Anti-Israel encampment were not UCLA students.
3) The police is trying to find the identities of the violent men who attacked the students, as they should.
In America we have the right to protest peacefully even when it’s a cause we disagree with, obviously.
The men who attacked the students deserve to be identified, investigated, charged, tried and punished.

If they didn’t set up the encampment and start calling for the death of the Jews and assaulting them, they pro=—Israel crowd wouldn’t be giving it back.
If you recall, the pro-Hamas protesters had beaten up a Jewish woman a few hours earlier, sending her to the hospital unconscious. The violence was initiated by the pro-Hamas protesters.
It figures a pro Hamas turd such as yourself would side against the Jews.

That video didn’t show what happened before hand to provoke that reaction. Just like Israel responded with great violence to the October 7 massacre perpetrated by the Palestinians, and the Israelis had done nothing prior to October 7, these Jewish students only were responding to threats and violence perpetrated against them over the past several weeks. Before that, they were doing nothing other than just being students.
Your selective choice of This particular video, taken completely out of the context of the events surrounding, and especially proceeding, it betrays your hatred of Jews. Jesus would be so proud of you, hating his people like that.
The only thing that twitter video shows is the kind of feed you follow on twitter.
