Mark Zuckerberg, the billionaire founder of Meta, has recently made waves with his latest acquisition—a $300 million superyacht named Launchpad. Zuckerberg’s luxurious vessel, which is longer than a football field, has drawn criticism based on his climate activism.
The Hindustan Times reports that with an estimated net worth of $180 billion, Mark Zuckerberg has joined the ranks of tech billionaires like Jeff Bezos, Larry Ellison, and Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page in buying a luxurious superyacht. The 118-meter vessel, designed by Swedish-based Espen Øin International, boasts a sleek, multilayered exterior with a robust steel hull and an aluminum superstructure.

Maybe “somebody” will SINK IT!!!!
Greta will no doubt accept an invite to secretly meet Zuck on his yacht.
Do as I say not so as I do.
Mark Zuckerberg probably justifies his yacht by saying it’s his burden to bear for the climate saving effort.
The EU exempted yachts and private jets from the green CO2 mandates imposed on commercial vessels and commercial aircraft.
I don’t begrudge anybody for the use of their own money to do as they please with it, but I detest hypocrisy....................
This yacht is followed EVERYWHERE it goes by a 200’ tender that carries toys and other stuff that MAY be needed on the main yacht.
I’ve seen photos of both...
Apparently these hypocritical billionaires are entitled to special privileges. So you uppity plebians need to just shut up and eat the bugs they are preparing for you and be happy.
The boat was completed in 2022 but has been hanging around in limbo.
Zuck bought it from the boatyard and probably got quite a discount off the original $300 million pricetag.
It's a $30 million tender named Wingman, and is technically an explorer class superyacht on its own merit.
Ok, so it’s a recycled yacht. That makes it environmentally responsible.
Absolutely! Reduce, reuse, recycle.
Zuck saved the brand new boat from the landfill...
Thanks!
I understand that it is powered by unicorn farts like it’s big sis...
There was an article several years ago about why billionaires buy yachts they seldom, if ever, use. It has to do with taxes. I don’t remember the exact numbers, but if you spend X dollars on a yacht you get to take that off of your income, thus reducing your taxes enough to make it worthwhile. Some billionaires have several yachts they’ve never even visited.
If you wondered why suddenly SUV’s and trucks were a hundred thousand dollars, it was the same reason. The objective was to increase the flow of money by inducing people to overpay for vehicles. In this case, even if you hadn’t paid for it yet, in the first year you could reduce your income by a full hundred thousand. Each year the amount went down. this is why people with money make more money.
They’re changing the refrigerant in air conditioners again. Having outlawed the previous refrigerants using “climate change” as the reason. The real reason is the same as above. Look forward to spending more than twenty thousand dollars for an airconditioner that barely works.
About what is expected.
Certainly looks like that chicken is being choked though the size is massively distorted from its true dimensions.
Zuck could have a yacht bigger than the USS Ronald Reagan as far as I'm concerned. Just shut up and enjoy your toys, and stop lecturing me about 'saving the erf' or such nonsense.
The man is versatile enough to own all that he owns yet notice that I have two 5,000 btu window units in my humble home.
I hope it sinks, preferably with Shmuckerberg inside.
