Yup.
I “Hope” President Trump’s lawyers rip that treacherous skank to shreds in cross!
Bingo. The case may never reach the jury. Another thing. SCOTUS’s pending ruling on immunity (June) may factor into this. The alleged falsification of business records ALL took place AFTER Trump became president. An evidentiary hearing to sort what may have been executive vs personal actions would be in order. This is another reason why this trial should not have moved forward before all the constitutional challenges were settled.
They will ;-)
Another whore
The SCOTUS review has no bearing on the NY case. This isn’t about whatever acts may be covered by Presidential immunity as it all happened before he became President.
Hope(-ing for a big book deal) Hicks..............
Nope. The alleged falsification of business records (34 counts) occurred from February, 2017, per the indictment document.
When? And how?
What is that and what does it mean?
The statute of limitations on the alleged records falsification has already expired. So they turned an expired misdemeanor case into a felony by alleging that the falsification was in furtherance of another crime — a state election fraud law that doesn’t even apply to this case since Trump was a federal candidate.
It’s an appeal for emergency relief.
Exactly. Harvey Weinstein’s conviction was overturned for similar abuses of discretion by prosecutors in that case. They prejudiced the jury by hauling into the courtroom all kinds of stuff having no connection to the case at hand.
She’s going to be harder to discredit than Cohen or Pecker. She hasn’t been charged with anything, been offered no deals for her testimony and has no known ax to grind.
It will be interesting to see how many pages of testimony she will be allowed to “correct” after the fact.
Hanging a four year old made sense to the idiots in Salem in the 1600's. Evil judges, stupid people, evil done...
She’s regurgitating stuff we already knew. Airing dirty laundry, nothing more. Still no crime. She wasn’t in the room during the supposed Pecker-Trump meeting in August, 2015. Which wouldn’t have been a crime either. This is the most laughable case I’ve ever witnessed.
Colangelo & co are making all the same mistakes the Weinstein prosecutors made. They’re trying to prejudice the jury by bringing in all this extraneous stuff to create the air of criminality.
