Members have a weekend to decide whether to embrace the #Uniparty that became obvious in the U.S. House when Hakeem Jeffries and the entire Democrat leadership team announced they want to keep Mike Johnson.

“This is not the best time to make a move.”

There is never a “good” time. The same excuses being used now to retain Johnson as Speaker will be used after the election.

We can’t afford another 6-12 months of Johnson destroying America.

If the Democrats save him, the history books will reflect that a Republican Speaker of the House was owned lock, stock and barrel by the Democrat party.

Only 8 months left until Speaker Hakim takes the gavel on 1/1/25. By then, the federal debt will be $37 trillion.

Maybe the House should focus on winning more elections this November with conservative candidates.

Johnson has really turned out to be a complete dirtbag. As jaded as I am, I’m still a little surprised.

Pelosi also took mcCarthy the same thing, and look where that got him.

The dem’s will oust Johnson and will very likely be able to install jefferies.

complete stupidity, all of this BS is going to cost us the House.

In case you haven't noticed, "we" don't have the house. The UniParty Left does. They're just advancing their agenda under the banner of "Republican" leadership.

The Republican Party would prefer to lose elections, rather than win with Conservative candidates. The Republican Party despises Conservatives. The problem is that Conservatives fail to realize this.

Johnson can’t destroy America on his own.

I’ve said for months that you can’t blame a House leader for letting bills out for floor votes when those bills have the support of at least 85% of the House members.

“The point is to make the Rats save him and own his speakership so it’s not done in secret. I appreciate this.”

*************

The Rats effectively own Johnson.

I agree, and I am as surprised as you are.

not focus on defeating Republicans trying to hold on the majority

Who are you talking abut? Certainly not Mike Johnson who has given the Biden Administration everything they need to keep destroying this nation. The RINOs have helped in that endeavor as well.

So, who are the Republicans being attacked that are trying to hold the line on the majority, in your mind?

Great timing. Just when the Democrat Party is in the process of self-immolation, they want to take the spotlight off the protests and put it on themselves for another month long charlie foxtrot to figure out who will be speaker.

I swear the Stupid Party never ceases to surprise me.

You’re absolutely right, from a strategic standpoint. Suicide. The party of stupid handing victories to the party of Satan. Primary him, don’t vacate the seat and give the media the excuse to focus on the idiot republicans.

The House of Reps will select the next POTUS in case nobody wins the electoral college

“ if no person have such majority, then from the persons having the highest numbers not exceeding three on the list of those voted for as President, the House of Representatives shall choose immediately, by ballot, the President. …(House vote by ststes…etc)

US Constitution Article XIII

(Any wonder why several R congresscritters have been resigning of late?). The DNC political machine is in full court press

Ha! Gaetz wouldn't get enough votes to fill a school bus. Massie might get a dozen over. A Speaker has to be able to work out compromises, and not be a bombthrower.
