Republican former President Donald Trump will address Libertarian delegates at the upcoming Libertarian National Convention in Washington, D.C., later this month. According to the party, this will be the first instance where a former President will directly address members, candidates, and leadership.
“Join us for a historic moment at the 2024 Libertarian National Convention as we welcome former President Donald J. Trump to the podium,” the official website for the Libertarian National Convention reads. “This momentous occasion will mark the first time a former President directly addresses our members, candidates, and executive committee. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear insights from a prominent figure in American politics and watch him engage with Libertarian ideals.”
In addition to announcing Trump’s attendance, the convention site also asks Libertarian Party members attending the convention and those interested in Trump’s participation to make a ten-dollar donation to vote in a poll to determine which topics Trump will address.
Additionally, the site is selling Trump-specific merchandise in what it refers to as “The Don Collection.”

Another thing the LP is trying to hide is that if you truly end the concept of borders as they desire then the 3rd world would flood in regardless of government programs and welfare.
Look at all of Africa and all of Latin America, and Asia and all over the 3rd world, there are 100s and 100s, and 100s of millions of people living under dire conditions of little or no water except at distance, dirt floors, no electricity, nothing, and no government welfare, people who would much prefer to live come to America and live in its wealth and infrastructure as poor people without welfare than to live where they are.
By all means, you should do everything you can to alienate libertarians, especially those who would support causes such as actual support of the second amendment and limited government in general.Please keep it up. Be as insulting and devoid as reason and logic as possible. And keep supporting The GOP as they sell the nation down the river, but incrementally slower than the democrats. There is a reason the GOP is known far and wide as the stupid party.

You’re an idiot. Rand has said several times that he’s libertarian leaning, as are many republicans like myself. I’ve thought the party’s stance on immigration and abortion are unsupportable, but they are clearer and more directly on point on some issues, like the 2nd amendment than even the most stalwart republicans are.
Our republic is desperately in need of a strong liberty oriented party to shake both the democrats and republicans out of their ossified and complacent positions. Unfortunately, the powers that be have made ANY inroads by third parties extremely difficult via many, many procedural and financial roadblocks.
People like you who cling to the republican party like it actually stands for and delivers on principles are delusional. Republican party is full of milquetoasts who are terrified of the media saying they are mean or something for not going along with leftist insanity. Even when Trump had both the house and senate, the republicans fought against his agenda as hard as democrats did.
