I wasted my body and youth fighting swamp and uniparty wars.

Now, it’s just some foreign entanglement or body to throw away for politicians to get elected.

The military doesn’t actually defend the USA. That’s why I joined.

Now? It’s a force for evil. Soros is your commander.

Quality application of scripture. It is not fiction, but fact on so many levels. The Truth be Told.

The number one reason is the Internet.

i’ve had a recruit call up looking for a senior systems architect with 20+ yrs of experience and a laundry list of technical requirements... then offer $30/hr

Some look for military retirees with clearances and then make a lower offer by deducting their military pension and health benefits from the total compensation package. Of course the discrimination is primarily against older Caucasian males so it is not prosecuted.

I remember in my father’s company there were disabled American Veterans from wwii working the electronics tables. All in wheelchairs. All transported by family. All died young.

I have heard similar.

One thing I applied for I had every qualification for and did contract stuff several years prior came up. A lot more than I am making.

I submitted my resume and got a phone call a few minutes later. The recruiter was going to offer a great deal less than advertised and sounded like a broken record. I said goodbye.

They called again a few minutes later saying essentially the same thing. I hung up.

Never heard from them again.

OTOH, I know a LOT of men in my cohort (65yo +) — including myself — who are still working, not strictly because they MUST but rather because they see value in continuing to work. And interestingly, we’re in demand to work.

I've retired, un-retired and planning to retire again. It's not that we're just in demand and others see value in our work, we actually ... work! And we work hard.

I'm still putting in 55+ hours/week working primarily because I have nothing else to do, like the people I work with, and we (almost) all work very well and effectively together.

At some point though, the world has to put its big boy pants on, and that time is coming. We're not going to live forever and I'd sure as hell like to benefit from the fruits of my labors over 45+ years before I fall over and die.

then there are many thousands that still have jobs but don’t do much when they’re at work. We call them ‘civil servants’

Ding! Deport the illegal aliens and radically slash H1Bs and viola! Suddenly companies will be quite willing to hire a lot of Americans they aren’t currently employing.

Yes, I've seen that too. A company will put out a job description that basically requires the person to be highly educated and experienced and have lots of valuable skills.....then want to pay what you would typically pay someone just a few years out of college. I always just laugh. Good luck finding that for what you're offering.

I just means some ppl only work enough to feed their substance abuse habit. Millions are like this. I know of two. Employers are used to it and just don’t care - they’ll fill the slot anyway they can to be operational.

A lot of them have kids with several women...if they go back to work then their checks will be garnished. So they either work under the table, or not at all.

I’m not working anymore for a few reasons. One is my age & ability. I’m retired & living on Social Security & the other part of my reason for not working is that I am better off financially this way. That should answer some questions.

Many of these haven’t stopped working but switched to working under the table.

“one latino I know paints houses to feed his cocaine habit”

“This makes no sense in the context of why men dont work.

are you on cocaine or do you just want people to know that you are cool because you know a guy who does cocaine? IDK”

I strongly advocate against illegal drug use—and sales—starting with Marijuana.

My point was this Latino ONLY works enough to keep his cocaine addiction fueled.

The rest of the time, he won’t pay the rent to his Senior-aged landlady, and she fears both “the law” and this “tenant”.

Too many young men aren’t working these days because they are too busy playing video games and doing social media.
