Former President Obama slammed former President Trump in a new podcast for not being considered a “serious guy” in New York City — where Trump spent most of his time before the White House, growing his fame and businesses.

Obama was asked on the “SmartLess” podcast by co-host Jason Bateman whether he was surprised how quickly the “protection and passion for democracy was diluted” in recent years. Obama responded by noting the trend began during former President Clinton’s time in the White House before accelerating during his presidency.

“I have been surprised that there haven’t been guardrails inside the Republican Party. Trump didn’t surprise me,” he said, before taking aim at Trump.

Donald Trump might not be well-liked in NYC but he has been taken seriously for decades. He’s been a major player in NYC since the 1980s. If Obama doesn’t think so, he’s a moron.

This is the problem with almost all government employees and layers. They never actually built anything. They have no idea what it means to create something and stick to a budget.

Obama was used by those who wanted to use our open system against us. He can be as arrogant as his conscience dictates, but if he's honest with himself he will realize that he is but one of many, many people who could have been used the same way. He just checked off the right boxes for people like Soros.

Having said that, I would never, ever, ever use the opinions out of NYC as an indication of who or what is ‘serious’ and meaningful. The most out of touch, delusional, and poorly informed among us are those who believe that supposed ‘mainstream’ society (e.g. those in Manhattan, the ‘entertainment industry, ‘elite’ universities, the media, politics, etc.) is where truth comes from. This mindset is pathetic, retro, and a sign of being morally and intellectually lost.
