The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) approved a plan Sunday for attacking the final Hamas stronghold in the city of Rafah in southern Gaza, near the Egyptian border, as U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken prepared to visit on Tuesday.
The IDF said in a statement:
Today (Sunday), on the eve of the second holiday of Passover, the Chief of the General Staff, LTG Herzi Halevi, discussed and approved plans for the continuation of the war with the Commanding Officer of the Southern Command, MG Yaron Finkelman, and all the division and brigade commanders in the command.

The assault on Rafah has been delayed while determining where precisely to attack to kill Sinwar.

They already do. IMI is an excellent supplier of small arms and ammunition. And anything the Israelis buy from us they make better.

Sure. With only 11 million people and a GDP of $525 billion.
Try to imagine how bizarre and surreal Blincken must appear to Israelis. He will look Isreali leaders in the eye and tell then after being attacked by an adjacent Palestinian state, after having its citizens murdered and taken hostage, after shedding more blood to destroy the attackers,not only should Israel leave the Hamas remnant intact in southern Gaza but they should welcome an even more powerful adjacent Palestinian state as part of a “two state solution”. Blincken and the people he represents are beyond absurd. The Israelis know they must always win, survive and prosper. There will never be a true peace as long as the concept of Palestine is a definable political entity.
The Foreign Military Financing that Israel receives from the US is a bribe to prevent Israel from competing directly with the US military industrial complex.
Currently that FMF represents 15% of Israel defense budget. And that money also buys senior Israeli military and intelligence officers to the detriment of Israel’s safety.
Israel is wealthy enough to afford doing without American interference.
