I increasingly feel that feminism has failed my generation. It is a peculiarity of the West that it is divided into sets which differ profoundly in their beliefs. This state of affairs began with the Reformation and has grown more pronounced ever since. There were Protestants and Catholics who differed fundamentally not only on faith but on practical matters. It was among Protestant communities that feminism first emerged, and it is in Protestant countries such as America and Britain in which feminist beliefs have been at their most vocal and strident in tone, like a religion with no dilution of agnosticism. Margaret Thatcher, though she would have denied it, was a feminist de facto, and no Catholic country could have produced her like.

I have two daughters and neither has shown any interest in marriage or children - they are both in their early thirties. I tell them they will regret it….. to no avail.

My sister would literally kill for a grandchild but neither of her two sons has any inclination in that direction. I’m so thankful I have one. Two would be even better!
My other sister has eight grandchildren from three children BTW.

Yes! I admire her so much. Took on the ERA, the entire government, all the states...and won.

That was a very thoughtful and extensive reply. Believe me, I feel that Phyliis Schafly and Margaret Thatcher are the women comtemporay women should aspire to emulate. Unfortunately that is more the case.
They still are, but it works both ways. When women were believers, they helped keep society in Christianity. Now they have rejected Christian morality, they are working to keep it away.

No intellectual or political lightweight, she. I admire her immensely. She is undoubtedly one of the most amazing women in American history. I find a similarity between her and Abigail Adams.

The women most prone to adopt radical feminism are, for the most part, removing themselves from the gene pool. The women having children are not the radical feminists.
