I don’t understand what’s going on with these resignations...

No worries. They will turn over control willingly just like Ryan did. That is the natural order of things in DC. The GOP is far more comfortable in the minority. They do not have the ability to actually lead. If a leader does arise, they do the bet to destroy them. I really have no respect for most of the GOP. They are selling out the country about as fast as the democrats.

Republicans in general and conservatives in particular are on life support now.

How strange so many of our people would resign at this critical moment in our history. It’s as strange as the timing on the lawfare cases against Trump.

Almost feels like there’s a force behind the madness. Something intentional...

Other than helping the Democrats, there is no logical explanation for leaving immediately versus announcing your are not running again but serving out your term, considering it’s barely 6 months away. The maddening thing is, he’s probably not leaving Washington, he’s been bought off by some lobbying firm and will take a lucrative job early next year.

They get everything they want now!

Tucker Carlson said Republicans are cooperating out of fear that the agencies will hit them with Kiddie Porn charges.

The Dems make the rules and fund every crazy thing you can dream of now. No difference than the Trained Seals inviting Vindman into Congress and treating him like a God now.

It’s a problem if they lose control. They can’t truly enact anything without democrats anyway, because Biden and the senate have to go along.

The Republicans resigning early are scum.

Not sure exactly why they resigned?

I am sure it had NOTHING to do with PRINCIPLE nor keeping their electoral promise to represent those who elected them.

Hell these pos republicans could not pull together to accomplish anything.

You got a speaker that sits and nods agreement with Biteme at the sou.

Who would want to stand on the deck of the Titanic while other members of “your” party shuffles the chairs to the other side of the aisle.

Liars liars liars. Pushing Biteme’s agenda

Not that any of these highly principled pathetic bozos would actually sell their vote. Nah, nothing like that happens.

And not that Merrick Garfinkle’s DOJ would ever FISA Court threaten a duly elected person about their vote. Nah, no way it could happen.

Unless the Republic was dead already

“spending more time with my family”

Did someone make an offer to LaTurner that he couldn’t refuse?

The ability of either party to impose any level of “party discipline” went away with the ban on legislative earmarks.

Mike Gallagher has further disgraced himself with his cheap stunt, just another demonstration of the fact that “professional politicians”, in general, are a truly despicable, unprincipled bunch of SOBs ... and this fact is nothing new throughout American history.

All this handwringing when I applaud him standing on his principles. The writing is on the wall: democrats have irrevocably destroyed this country and if the Republican Party won’t stand up as one and politically water the tree of liberty then why stay? Why participate? The citizenry who could’ve stood up for Constitutionalism are cucked and the Republican Party has been a party of cucks since the 1890’s. Better to ditch now and live to fight another day than be a dimwit eunuch Republican in congress.

as far as I’m concerned, the house could adjourn until January and taxpayers would finally get a break.
