We paid our and our kids’ full tuition costs at the beginning of each semester. How stupid of us.

So much for SCOTUS.

I’d bet if anyone were to check, the vast majority of debt ‘forgiven’ (with my money) will be for non-white people or registered democrats.

My wife and I did too, back in the 80’s. I wonder if this deal is retroactive? I sure would like to get a check in the mail so I could afford to buy some groceries.

If the dude was a truly skilled musician seems to me he could make a pretty decent living playing with the Boston Philharmonic orchestra. Evidently he’s not that skilled.

250K so some half-wit moron can “go study in India”. It wouldn’t have taken much to take off and “go study in India”... but this clown probably wants to live in some purdah mansion or even a “middle class” rental home. Not get down with the lower castes.

Some of the comment here are a bit childishly retarded since those that get their student loans canceled never asked for it, it was automatic.

These loans are not really forgiven,,,,the loan payments are dumped on the backs of American taxpayers.

If this guy finished graduate school in 1998 I’ll bet his initial loans were for no more than $40,000. He ran up another $210,000 in interest, late charges, collection fees, etc.

I paid my $2000 student loan off by 1973 after graduating 1970 with a wife and child and an yearly salary of $6300.

Forgiving the student loans for these dead beats is a joke and is wrong since my tax money is paying their loans off.

To paraphrase Obama, “Ah, if you’ve got a home, you didn’t buy that!”

True. And which, you observe, our "victim" here never intends to be.
