Judge May Force Trump to Skip Son Barron’s High School Graduation
Breitbart ^ | 04/15/2024 | HANNAH KNUDSEN

Posted on 04/15/2024 1:07:01 PM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan has yet to say that former President Donald Trump can attend his son Barron Trump’s high school graduation, refusing to rule on the former president’s request to not attend the trial that specific day for that event.

Monday was the start of the criminal trial at the hands of Democrat Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who charged Trump with 34 felonies, accusing him of falsifying business records in relation to payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels. As Breitbart News pointed out, Trump is not being accused of “covering up a sex scandal.” Trump has denied all charges against him, but, if convicted, he could face jail time.

While jury selection has begun in the criminal trial, Trump’s attorneys are looking ahead and have requested that Trump be able to skip the trial on May 17 so he can attend his son Barron’s high school graduation, which is taking place in his home state of Florida. According to Business Insider, Merchan has acknowledged the request but has refused to make a ruling.

These morons must know the damage they are doing to their side as they make false charges, assess multimillion dollar fines for non criminal activity, engage in biased political chicanery, and etc.

Do they just not care? Do they think they’ll get away with it?

Judge Warns Trump He Will Be Jailed If He Doesn’t Show Up to Court Every Day of Hush Money Trial

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/judge-warns-trump-he-will-be-jailed-if-he-doesn-t-show-up-to-court-every-day-of-hush-money-trial/ar-BB1lFgOE

Jack Posobeic is saying that the trial could go on for months. This would effectively keep Trump off the campaign trail for much of the election cycle.

The reasoning, from a political perspective, is that since Biden can’t run because he has dementia then keep Trump in court as long as possible to prevent him from campaigning.

After all, it’s “democracy”.

Way to go Juanita...

The abuse from the bench against Trump knows no bounds.

It’s a reasoned request, and the denial of it would
constitute a penalty before his innocence is determined.

Your kid only has one high school graduation ceremony,
and Trump has the right to attend. He’s not under
arrest or incarcerated. He will be legally represented
at the trial.

There is zero cause for denial here. In truth, a
defendant is not required to be in court generally.
I may be wrong on that, but I don’t think so.

The judge has evidently subpoenaed him, and is requiring
him to be present, which is completely uncalled for.

Trump is just going to have to defy the judge and get arrested. Then he can go to a federal court for relief of being denied his rights. I think that is what he is doing with regards to defying the gag order. But the judge has refused to take the bait so far.

If that isn’t election interference I don’t know what is?
I guess there is no legal recourse at all. Given that Mark Steyn lost his case despite the fact that Michael Mann did not present any evidence at all I have totally lost faith in the US justice system.

Barron is said to be a smart and grounded young gentleman.

Perhaps he’ll eventually enter politics himself and more than make up for this crap.

Almost like that was the plan ...

I was a juror on a civil trial in Virginia. The defendant's only representation in court was counsel. The defendant was a corporation, FWIW.

They have every reason to think they will get away with it because they have for 100+ years.

I think Trump should announce his VP pick and have her (I’m a Stefanik guy) hit the trail; Trump can do rallies in the weekends and rightfully characterize himself as a political prisoner during the week

“Do they just not care? Do they think they’ll get away with it?”

The stole the last election and got away with it. The people who went to prison were those peacefully pointing out the theft.

They’ll do it again. And it will be more blatant this time.

Until politicians are literally afraid to win by fraud, this won’t stop.
