Makes perfect sense to me, just when you need additional police and fire to deal with all the illegals crimes they cause, medical emergencies they have, etc. They set it up so they have less of those resources

NO! I believe that has been the Democrats plan all along. After the states defund as much of the police as they can and crime gets out of control declare a national emergency, call in the military (probably not the US but the UN), and suspend all freedoms and elections until “law and order is restored ... however long they feel it is necessary.
That’s a consideration.
The Federal Government should put the nix on that.
The U.N. has no authority to do so. NONE!
States or cities cannot invite the U. N. in.
But if the US signs up and agrees to WHO’s control during a pandemic what’s to keep them from sending troops into the US to enforce their mandates?
