When President Biden proposed an additional $24 billion in supplemental funding for Ukraine in August, Moscow spin doctors working for the Kremlin were ready to try to undermine public support for the bill, internal Kremlin documents show.
In an ongoing campaign that seeks to influence congressional and other political debates to stoke anti-Ukraine sentiment, Kremlin-linked political strategists and trolls have written thousands of fabricated news articles, social media posts and comments that promote American isolationism, stir fear over the United States’ border security and attempt to amplify U.S. economic and racial tensions, according to a trove of internal Kremlin documents obtained by a European intelligence service and reviewed by The Washington Post.
One of the political strategists, for instance, instructed a troll farm employee working for his firm to write a comment of “no more than 200 characters in the name of a resident of a suburb of a major city.” The strategist suggested that this fictitious American “doesn’t support the military aid that the U.S. is giving Ukraine and considers that the money should be spent defending America’s borders and not Ukraine’s. He sees that Biden’s policies are leading the U.S. toward collapse.”
The documents — numbering more than 100 and dating between May 2022 and August 2023 — were provided to The Post to expose Kremlin propaganda operations aimed at undermining support for Ukraine in the United States, as well as their scale and methods. The files are part of a series of leaks that have allowed a rare glimpse into Moscow’s parallel efforts to weaken support for Ukraine in France and Germany, as well as destabilize Ukraine itself. -excerpt

Trump will put Putin back where he was.
Plans by Gambashidze’s team refer to using “short-lived” social media accounts aimed at avoiding detection. Social media manipulators have established a technique of using accounts to send out links to material and then deleting their posts or accounts once others have reshared the content. The idea is to obscure the true origin of misleading information and keep the channel open for future influence operations, disinformation researchers said.
Propaganda operatives have used another technique to spread just a web address, rather than the words in a post, to frustrate searches for that material, according to the social media research company Alethea, which called the tactic “writing with invisible ink.” Other obfuscation tricks include redirecting viewers through a series of seemingly random websites until they arrive at a deceptive article.
You see that all the time around here with dodgy pro-Kremlin blogs and vblog sourcing, and supposedly "alternative" news sites, which are generally fake.
Russia is in the wrong here.
Well is she in the wrong?
Russia did invade after being asked by the rebellious people of east Ukraine asked them to protect them from Kiev.
But, China invaded Tibet and annexed it, and expelled their ruler the Dali Lama and no one makes a fuss about that.
China broke a treaty with England and simple took over Hong Kong—and no one made an effort to help them.
But, they were Asians so, it doesn’t count?
Both Russia and Ukraine have been accused of war crimes, but then so has Hamas and Israel been accused of such things.
Israel bombs an embassy annex and America doesn’t cry foul. So far Russian hasn’t bombed any embassies even if we blew up the Chinese embassy in the war with Serbia over Kosovo.
Lots of complex problems. No good guys here. Putin and Zelensky are both tyrants. Why should we care who wins?
WAPO BS
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
That’s where I’m at.
The Uke propagandists are stupid.
The Russians propagandists are repulsive, to the point I’ve wondered if they weren’t really Uke propagandists pretending to be such offensive Russian trolls that they’re really trying to gin up support for the Ukes.
The usual suspects are on display already.
Shocking...
What a Joke these Zeepers are.
If you disagree with American Tax Dollars Being Given To the Ukies,

That's a well-worn Kremlin lie.
Russia's Igor Strelkov: I Am Responsible for War in Eastern Ukraine
Russian national Igor Strelkov, a former commander of pro-Moscow separatists in eastern Ukraine, has claimed personal responsibility for unleashing the conflict in which 4,300 people have been killed since April.
"I was the one who pulled the trigger of this war," Strelkov said in an interview published Thursday with Russia's Zavtra newspaper, which espouses imperialist views.
"If our unit hadn't crossed the border, everything would have fizzled out — like in [the Ukrainian city of] Kharkiv, like in Odessa," Strelkov, who uses that nom-de-guerre meaning "Shooter" to replace his last name Girkin, was quoted as saying.
"There would have been several dozen killed, burned, detained. And that would have been the end of it. But the flywheel of the war, which is continuing to this day, was spun by our unit. We mixed up all the cards on the table," he said.
What a joke these Putin apologists are.
Oppose Russia and you get called a homo, neocon, pedophile, Soros stooge, CIA troll, etc.
Just another example of how desperate Russia is to end a war they know they cannot win!
LOL
>>>>It is a way of trying to invalidate the opinions (and therefore the votes) of thousands of U.S. citizens.<<<<
Zeepers attempt to invalidate the opinions of America-loving FReepers every day on this site by hitting the ABUSE Button to report that some insignificant rule has been broken or that their feelings have been hurt. They search for comments to report, keeping lists of them and the names of the posters.
And if a sympathetic mod is on duty, the post is removed.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
Yep.... 👍
If it's up to me and you're posting that kind of link here on FR, I think you should get the zot.
But if you're making an argument that maybe we should pay attention to our borders here in the U.S., that's a legitimate argument.
People can be too obvious when they are making that kind of post (and no, they are not using our alternative media sites like Breitbart).
Kremlin's troll army is effective so far. We haven't passed our bill to give Ukraine the funds they need to reload ammunition for their military.
The Kremlin knows that they just have to outlast the West. And it looks like they may be able to do that.
>>>So has Zelensky moved into King Charles’ house yet?<<<
So, are you going to tell us if you’re voting for Trump?
I’ve asked you at least 8 times.
Take it over to the Trump-Abortion thread...there's plenty to talk about there.
Just when we thought all the Zeepers were taking the day off, watching the solar eclipse, Mom returns.
What Ukie electrical power grid doink?
