.........in Texas, I’ve witnessed first hand in some of my cases that a Presiding Judge (meaning the boss of all the judges in the courthouse) can order (not ask) a judge to recuse himself and install a new judge.

I don’t how courthouses in New York function (if they even do).

I’m not so sure. Conservatives tried to express their concerns on January 6, and look what happened to those poor souls. They were made an example of, and I think many conservatives have that in the back of their minds.
