Shocking video captured the moment a 5-ton bull elephant in Zambia charged at a safari vehicle — flipping it over several times and killing an 80-year-old American woman during an expedition.
The unidentified woman was among six tourists with the group Wilderness Zambia who were out on a photography tour Saturday when they came under attack by the crazed beast, the Telegraph reported.
“At around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning the six guests were on the game drive when the vehicle was unexpectedly charged by the bull elephant,” Wilderness Zambia CEO Keith Vincent said in a statement

Well, at least she’ll still be able to vote for The Tater in November.
Ewww!!!!Really?
I’m a little jealous. As long as it was quick and not too painful, I wouldn’t mind going out that way. It’d look good on a tombstone. “Killed by rampaging elephant while on safari”.
Definitely not the ideal place to file a wrongful death lawsuit.
The family will be lucky to Grandma's suitcase back.
The picture above looks like a freaking golf cart. Great protection from wild animals.
The guide told us that he was in musth...which means that he was looking for lady elephants to "befriend".
You see the elephant running at them, and can hear someone on the vehicle saying “Oh my, drive fast!”
then the driver stops.
A coworker of mine for some reason went on an African trip.
She said elephants are highly protective of their family members. A native African driver for the tour vehicle stupidly drove between a brother and sister elephant and stopped to make a call from his driver’s seat.
The male flapped his ears back and bellowed. The people screamed, “C’mon, get moving.” The driver looked just above mentally retarded, the coworker said, and his eyes were half closed and he smiled a big smile as if to say “not to worry.” The elephant started to approach to attack. “C’mon you stupid @#@#@, get us moving.” “Hurry.”
Finally the dimwit got the vehicle moving and the tourists were safe.
International studies give a sub-Saharan African average IQ of 66. Four data sets can be averaged to give an IQ of 68 as the best reading of the IQ in sub-Saharan Africa.

Everyone has a different idea of a fun trip-but mine would not be to go out on a outing to take photos of African wildlife in a safari vehicle that looks about as safe as a golf cart or ATV, armed with only a camera where unconfined elephants are wandering around-unless I was having suicidal thoughts...
Elephant knows humans are a danger.
Get Off My Lawn!!
Americans have to learn the hard way that the rest of the world is not their playground.
Thanks for that.
Remember, folks. Seat belts save lives.
They should use humvees or hummer vehicles.
I got hit by a bull elk once. He was after the guy that was calling behind me. Ran right over a bush and into me. It hurt. Broke a couple ribs and bruised me up and broke my bow.
I got lucky.
We were on a British WWII Troop Transport - all the other tourists I saw were in Land Rovers. Not only were we a lot higher and safer but we had better views.
Our truck had to carry all our supplies because we were camping.
Yes, you were. Very lucky. Luckier it wasn’t a Moose. Elk are big.
