When Israel does that, Iran will respond with everything, including chemical and biological. Why wouldn’t they? The Samson Option will kill more Jews than Hitler did.

Yes, but Israel is a nuclear power fighting for its own survival now, with all that implies.

That may be difficult when Iran no longer has any command chain or communications.

I’m not talking about Hamas at all (which the IDF failed miserably to destroy). I’m talking about Hezbollah which fought the IDF to standstill in Lebanon and Iran, the likes of which Israel has never came close to fighting.

That implies the Samson Option. I assume you understand the significance of applying the Samson Option.

“On 11 August 2006, the United Nations Security Council unanimously approved United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701 (UNSCR 1701) in an effort to end the hostilities. The resolution, which was approved by both the Lebanese and Israeli governments the following days, called for disarmament of Hezbollah”

Nasrallah admits the war was a hezbollah error:

On 27 August 2006, Nasrallah said in an interview with New TV that the abduction of the two soldiers did not cause the war. It only advanced a long planned war for a few months. But he added: “If there was even a 1 percent chance that the July 11 capturing operation would have led to a war like the one that happened, would you have done it? I would say no, absolutely not, for humanitarian, moral, social, security, military, and political reasons.”

So? The point is they are much, much, much more powerful. You can kiss that Israeli armor goodbye. Have you been watching what’s happened to both sides’ armor in Ukraine? Have you watched the USN be totally embarrassed by the Houthis? Hezbollah is not the Houthis. Those Iranian hypersonics would put a USN carrier on the bottom of the Mediterranean.

Why do you always find yourself on the side opposing Western Civilization and on the side of islamist and communists?

Are you a muslim?

Are you a communist?

If not, how could anyone ever tell by your postings?

A Muslim and a communist? Of course, nothing I’ve said to anyone would cause any sane individual to level such a preposterous charge. It’s very unbecoming of you to resort to such childishness when confronted with facts you can’t or refuse to deal with. Burying your head in the sand and throwing such temper tantrums does no one any good, least of all those whose lives are put in jeopardy by such evasions of realities.

No ship actually being escorted by US destroyers near Yemen has been hit by a Houthi Iranian missile. Nor have any of our other warships in the area been hit.

Moreover, US carriers are built to take hits. Far different from cargo ships.

Now, could a time-on-target attack of 40 or 50 Iranian hypersonic missiles get some through and cause critical damage to a US carrier escorted by 2-3 of our destroyers? Possibly. But Iran has shown no such capability.

So far, the main problems for the US around Yemen are:

1) No political will to impose a blockade, so we are allowing the Houthis to resupply.

2) No political will to cause the Iranians enough pain to cease and desist. Historically, when we do so, they do.

3) Cost of AD missiles.

Further, if Israel is really hard pressed and the US fails to back them up, Bibi will dust off a couple nukes.

I’ll be much too busy preparing to save my family to tell you I told you so if DC escalates us into a full blown war with Iran.
