Howdy, luvie.
Hope it wasn’t too hot today. It was really nice here except for the wind. And no, I didn’t mow. LOL
Will your church group have a sunrise service tomorrow or gather at the regular time?
A blessed Sunday of the Resurrection (Western)/Sunday of St. Gregory Palamas (Orthodox)† to all!
†Orthodox Pascha is May 5 this year.
For those celebrating tomorrow:
Hey there, radu!
It was in the 80s and it’s still 74 degrees. Nice. Tomorrow will be warmer and probably windy. Bah!
Our church service will be at the regular time. Then we’ll all have lunch together and then no evening service. We do that for all 5th Sundays.
I’m on the chat with Steve and some more folks right now. Hope to get to play some tunes later, but not sure how long this will go on. It’s fun.
Good idea not to mow with that wind blowing. LOL! You didn’t become a chia pet after all!
Sounds like a pretty nice day there. Lucky you didn’t have wind like we did. I guess tomorrow’s wind will be what’s ahead of the cold front coming through.
it got up to 73 this afternoon and is down to 62 at the moment. The low’s only going to be in the mid 50s or so and that’s not bad.
It sounds like tomorrow will be a fun day for y’all, getting together for lunch after church.
Yes, sometimes in early next week it’s supposed to cool back off a bit. Tuesday the high will be about 62. Works for me.
Your temperatures sound pretty perfect. Except for the wind, of course. Hope tomorrow is even better!
It’ll cool off here next Wednesday after the front goes through. Tomorrow and Monday will be warmer than today, though still windy.
Oooooo!!!! The 4th lil German owlet has hatched! Just saw it’s widdle head pop up. Those young ‘uns aren’t going to go hungry. There’s a mountain of food piled up in the “pantry”. Tristan is a VERY good hunter, keeping the abandoned castle’s rat population down. Good boy!! LOL
It's the sound of the bells of Moscow's basilicas on Easter morning.
I got everything done there that I needed to get done, and even got the garn checks, and another package, mailed at the mall post office.
The only issue...the copier in the same room as my desk is out of order. And on garn day I have a lot of stuff that needs to be printed. So I had to send my printing jobs to the reception area...across the end of the skating rink. My desk is at one corner and the reception area is at the other corner.. Not the length of the rink, but the width. Several trips too many. My knees aren’t screaming, but they are not happy.
But I brought home half a dozen papers from the mail that I need to fill out and fax back to the Labor Department by Tuesday. Tomorrow will be busy. LOL!
And right now, the sun is coming out after heavy winds, rain, and sleet.
Ooooo, how exciting. I’m so glad they have lots of food. I’ll need to peek in on them when the chat EVER ends. LOL!
Enjoy the warm while you can. :)
What a beautiful song...and your Mom was in the choir. Special times.
Thanks for sharing.
Sounds like a very productive day, though a bit of a PITA because of the copier. At least you got it done and can rest your poor achy knees now.
NICE to see the sun out at last. It was pretty ugly up there most of the day.
A lot of snow has melted already. There are a lot of bare spots on the ice on Lake Hood after months of seeing just snow. I’m seeing a few fog banks in the distance so there might be fog everywhere overnight.
I went back to find the timestamp and if you go to 22:10:30 you’ll see it raise its head and wiggle around a little. It’s on the right side of the fuzz pile. The pantry will amaze you. LOL No wonder they keep nesting there. It’s a bountiful place.
Too bad the grass is wet with dew. I’d mow now otherwise. No wind and it feels nice outside.
I did go back and find it. What little cuties! I think those owls are single-handedly ridding Germany of the rat population. LOL!
I love that song, The Holy City...what a terrific rendition by Richard Crooks. Thanks!
We had ribs for supper yesterday.
Yesterday at Comanche Lake:
How's everyone doing this morning?
They’re certainly keeping the population down at that castle. LOL Tristan needs to slow down so there’ll be food later on.
