Pollster Frank Luntz tried on Friday to explain to an oblivious CNN host why Evangelical Christians overwhelmingly support former President Donald Trump.
While the reasons should be obvious — Trump helped repeal Roe v. Wade, staunchly supports religious liberty, and has been an ally to Christians — host Brianna Keilar just couldn’t figure it out.
Indeed, in her opinion, Evangelicals should revile Trump because — wait for it — he’s an imperfect human being who’s said and done imperfect things.
For example, when asked in 2015 about whether he’d ever asked God for forgiveness, he essentially said no.
“I’m not sure I have,” he replied. “I just go and try and do a better job from there. I don’t think so.”

This is not the view of the liberals. No, they want to tell me where and how my children will be educated, what I can say, who I must work for and even when and what religious events I can attend. What medical treatments I must take.

Evangelicals flock to Trump because of a number of reasons, primarily because they think he will stop the destruction of the nation; religious freedom being one of the founding sentments of the nation.
I am always amazed at how non-Christians like to lecture and discern how and why Christians think.
It was addressing the author’s statement:

Trump did not say he never sought forgiveness for his sins. He said when he did something wrong he did what he could to make it right. The author equated “doing something wrong” with committing sin. The two are NOT synonymous
Exactly. This is the first transgender day. Biden could have made it, say, March 30th. Having the first transgender day happen on a day Biden knew would be Easter is symbolic. He could have easily avoided that.

Religious fundamentalism never leads the country it resides in to a better and more freedom loving place. Evangelical Christians are fundamentalists.
