Special Counsel Jack Smith's efforts to imprison Donald Trump for mishandling classified documents have hit a few snags recently, and the latest snag is, indeed, a big one.
“ Special Counsel Jack Smith could be blocked from using evidence against Donald Trump contained in grand jury investigation files, which were transferred to the former president's Florida classified documents case this week, a former prosecutor has suggested," reports Newsweek.
"In 2023, a grand jury in Washington, D.C., heard evidence from witnesses—including Trump's attorney, Evan Corcoran—while considering whether charges should be brought against the former president and others for hoarding classified documents. However, Trump and his co-accused were later indicted in Florida and, under federal rules, the grand jury files were transferred on Monday to Trump-appointed judge, Aileen Cannon's court."
According to former prosecutor Bill Shipley, the transfer of the case from D.C. to Florida gives Judge Cannon control over what evidence can be included—especially testimony that may have violated attorney-client privilege.

And, while he was VP, SloJo was NOT authorized to hold classified information outside of secure environments; certainly not in his damn garage or his offices(s). Also, he had no authority to declassify anything.

Remember when Harry Reid said 'I heard from a friend that Mitt Romney doesn't pay his taxes.' when asked who told thim this Reid said 'Don't as me about that, you should be asking Mitt Romney why he doesn't pay his taxes." And they did, for months. With zero proof, zero evidence they reported it as if it was solidly sourced. Later Reid admitted he lied but had not shame about it because "it worked".
Journalists are such liars. The "4th estate" fancies themselves as elites that will all sit on the commie politburo if the revolution they are working so hard for comes to pass but they are useful idiots who will be among those shot if the commies take over.
This case is bogged down in Motionville and Appealtown for maybe years.
There are so many challenges and SCOTUS rulings parked in the queue, some of the people involved in the case will either be retired or dead before it gets a trial date.
Trump and Republicans should get the Capitol moved from DC to Texas and use all of those buildings for the homeless visitors coming across the border.
