The United Nations Security Council approved a resolution Monday calling for an “immediate cease-fire” in Israel’s war against Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
The resolution passed the Security Council 14-0, with the US abstaining and declining to exercise its veto power.
The measure calls for a pause in the fighting to last through the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which ends April 9, as well as the unconditional release of hostages taken in the Oct. 7 Hamas attack in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had demanded the US veto the cease-fire resolution, threatening to cancel plans to send a delegation to Washington to discuss plans for a ground offensive in the southern Gaza city of Rafah.

Netanyahu just canceled his delegation’s proposed visit to the White House to discuss the Rafah Operation. I suspect that is a clear message delivered back to this Administrations effort to deliver a ‘clear message’ to Netanyahu. So, Biden has guaranteed that Israel is about to wipe Rafah out if Biden doesn’t move his pawn.

We walked though an entire huge Tar-jay store. Tens of thousands of items for sale (many obviously overpriced — it’s certainly no discount store!
Aside from sone plastic and sone chocolate Easter eggs, there was nothing Zeto For Easter. Sent out a safari and at king last nabbed a store clerk ( so they do have employees). She directed us to another counter clear on the far back side corner of the emporium. Half a mile’s hike later, we came upon the previous second stash of Easter merchandise. Two tiny Russell stover chocolates and a few more plastic eggs. Agsin, nothing nice for Easter. Nothing you’d want to put in your home or maybe on your front door.

The store also sells nothing significant for Passover or Purim.
It dies hiwever offer Ramadan stuff and yes, it has multi- gender recreation rooms (toilets) which is why we stopped patronizing them in the first place.
Hamas has already said no hostages for the cease fire - so its a non starter. The point of the entire offensive to to destroy Hamas and rescue hostages.
Neither is going to happen. Israel will defend itself. And the hostages Hamas took are either dead or have been raped so many times by the Hamas scum that those scum cannot let the hostages go because the hostages will speak.

If I read correctly this says cease fire until end of Ramadan. That’s in about 2 weeks. In conjunction with hostage release. No idea who has to go first. But they did this before… 2 week pause with hostage releases.
