Gallagher announced he will leave in mid-April. If Gallagher would have left before April 9th he would have triggered a special election in his district. Because he is leaving after April 9th but still in April, there will be no special election so the seat will remain empty.
This ensures that Republicans will lose another seat in Congress.
This is how the Uniparty works.
They do everything they can to screw their voters. Dirty Ken Buck already said more Republicans will follow him out of Congress before the year ends.
This will give Democrats the majority just as the 2024 election unfolds.
Emerald Robinson sees why this is all happening.
Emerald Robinson: "The early retirements of Ken Buck and Mike Gallagher are part of a scheme by the uniparty cabal to stop Trump from winning the 2024 election. How? They want to flip the House blue in time to nullify the electoral vote via the 14th Amendment."
The Uniparty never sleeps..

That is not true. We are the largest debtor in all of human history. Nobody else is even close.

“Trump should cash out and leave this pitiful excuse for a country.”
He can’t cash out. His business empire is now under administration by a state court in New York. He has been banned from running his company by court order.

“If they fail to certify his win, it’ll be obvious we cannot vote our way out of this dictatorship. So it’ll be civil war.”
Civil War is doubtful. Submission is more likely. The American people today do not value the liberty their forefathers fought to realize and protect. In my life time the country has voluntarily given up its position as the leading manufacturing nation, energy independence, God in public life, the best public education system on the planet, public safety, integrity of citizenship, and any shared sense of morality. The youth of this nation are no longer willing to volunteer in numbers sufficient to staff the military. Nearly 1/3 of the nation is on some form of public assistance.

I’m glad you said that! A++
A new House will be elected this November and seated on January 6th.
As you said, the House seated in January 2025 will certify the election.
Let’s hope Trump has sufficient coat tails to sweep a number of MAGA candidates into office.
I keep thinking about what Rush once said, “The events that will determine the outcome of the election haven’t happened yet.”

I wonder what the Deep state or Democrats had on both of these congressmen?

Those on the Right politically will be cast as bands of armed and dangerous terrorists, operating with Russian backing. Hard to see how we win such a battle under the current reality.

Then expect states like Texas and others to secede the union…and it won’t be just the Southern states.

Assuming Dems take over the House, the dangerous time is the lame duck session in Nov and Dec.

You missed the problem. The present Congress can proclaim that Trump engaged in "insurrection" and is therefore barred from appearing on the ballot for POTUS. If so, the matter needs to be decided by SCOTUS, and that will take time. There is a Deep State plan to bar Trump from office, and the RINOs are part of that plan. The next Congress can't certify Trump the winner if he gets no electoral votes anywhere.

I’m hoping he has coat tails too. We actually did decent in 2016 and 2020. However, without him on the ticket, the party sucks. So this is our biggest chance.

Wouldn’t the Senate have to convict Trump of an “insurrection” to keep him off the ballot?
It seems that would be double jeopardy since he was already acquitted once while still in office.

No, we are into the realm of a "political question" which SCOTUS doesn't like to touch. If the Congress declares Trump an "Insurrectionist" he could be barred from state ballots.
