“Syrian civil war”

Russia has long had a small seaport in Syria and so maintained good relations with Bashar al-Assad.

The Syrian rebels, which included ISIS, were trying to topple Assad.

For reasons that were unclear to me, we were involved in the Syrian civil war, and on the same side as ISIS. There are credible claims that we helped build up ISIS.

The “unclear reasons” may simply be that the Syrian War was an earlier episode in the Neocon war on Russia, hoping to bleed them some while ginning up a much larger war closer to their home.

When the Ivans accuses me of being a troll, I know that I have stung them with the facts. Putin may end up like Nicolae Ceausescu, done in by his own security services as no longer tolerable.

Not really. Mid East blood lines include many Europeans taken captive who then converted to Islam for the sake of better treatment.

I’d prefer not to find out if NATO can beat Russia, because I think the end result wouldn’t be “a win” for hundreds of millions of people.

It would be a good way to reduce the white population to around 2%.

Me thinks that you still have undying faith in our government. I too had that. But our government keeps exposing itself as not reciprocating that same loyalty to her citizens as they continually place everyone above America & her citizens.

This administration has been absolutely unconcerned about this nation. Obama at lease was not as blatant, but he was without question the person who weaponized our government against we the people & turning it towards becoming a tyrannical nation. Though I also suspect previous presidents played a role also, following Ronald Reagan.

That is what we are fighting for. If you do not believe in that, or you are too squirmish to participate, then I suggest you relocate to Europe where the self-inflicted suicide will continue unabated.

Your absurd claims and accusations seem designed to obscure a logical and factually correct point that I offered. With a large territory that includes restive minorities and a long and porous border that has lots of angry Muslims nearby, the Russian Federation has a major security threat from Muslim criminality and terrorism. Putin stripped away many of the resources used to protect Russians from that threat in order to pursue his Ukraine war.

This analysis is supported by news reports that the Moscow attack terrorists carried Tajik passports. You and Russian propagandists may prefer to suggest that somehow the US and Ukraine are at fault for warning of the growing internal security threat in Russia, but there is no genuine evidence for that being so. The Russian people -- and the siloviki especially -- know that poor policies and choices by Putin have put the country's internal security at risk. A reckoning for that and other errors cannot be avoided forever by Putin.

Which is why Putin just won in a landslide, right?

All you're doing is failing badly at delivering CIA-crafted talking points.

Troll.

Putin did not win by a landslide because it was not an election that anyone outside of North Korea would recognize as an election.

Putin not only MURDERED Boris Nemtsov but he also MURDERED Alexander Navalny. Only the most putrid Putinista pig would call it an election after such opposition was erased. Putin’s goons were also at the polling places.

Did those “CIA-crafted talking points” cause Putin to invade the Republic of Georgia, invade Ukraine, reestablish artic circle prison camps, arrest dissidents, reintroduce Soviet terms and flags, and destroy entire cities? You sure give lots of credit to an inept intel agency.

We’re all guilty of it from time to time but it’s best to not jump to conclusions early on in the game. Sometimes it comes back to bite us.

As a former KGB thug, Putin’s method for winning elections is simple and effective: kill or imprison your critics and potential opponents, then inject as much fraud as you may need to assure a landslide.

I never believed the COVID nonsense and already suspected it was from the Wuhan lab almost from the beginning as soon as I read some virologists who noted that the virus genome, supposedly zoonotic, appeared to have been engineered to infect humans better than its supposed animal hosts.

The US government doesn't lie about everything, it only lies when it thinks the political benefits are higher than telling the truth.

I agree with almost everything you say about the US government: the Feds today clearly view the American people as their primary enemy.

Basically since the end of the Cold War and especially after the petering out of the "war on terror", most of the national security and national law enforcement effort has turned towards suppressing the American people. By capturing the "commanding heights" of US law enforcement and the intel agencies, the Democratic party is working furiously to create a one-party, corporate fascist state.

This is obviously the most critical danger to the country. It does not imply, however, that foreign threats are a mirage and do not also have to be dealt with. In fact, given the manifest evidence of the incompetence, corruption, and divisive oppression of the "Biden" regime, it is far more likely that foreign enemies will act now, just as they also did under the Kenyan communist.

As far as moving to Europe, I already lived in Germany once and have spent a lot of time in Poland and even visited Ukraine once. It's an experience I wish many more Americans could have, because if they did, many Americans would realize just how much richer the US is and how greater the opportunities they have are compared to Europeans. I had several working class Germans tell me they wished they had been able to emigrate to the US. I had an Iranian who had received political asylum in Germany beg me to help him and his family get out of Germany.

I also lived in Canada for a while, and even Canadians are not like Americans. A Polish architect who emigrated to Canada visited us last summer for an architecture conference. What struck him the most was not the scale of projects in the US, as he expected that to be bigger. It was the drive of the Americans to push things to ever higher standards and even more ambitious levels. That, he told us, you don't find elsewhere.

I used to take pride in our system of government but am now ashamed of what a shambolic mess of incompetence, corruption and oppression it has become. But my time abroad has made me realize that the real greatness of America lies in its people, not its government, and that if we have any hope of escaping our current predicament, that hope lies in them.

I have always take great pride in my nation, but the election of Trump through today I have become immensely alarmed at what I have been seeing, I even supported the two wars, until they morphed into nation building. I even supported the Vietnam war and bought into the Domino theory.

But those three wars have taken its toll upon this country as we spent trillions, while our nation declined. None of them provided more security to this nation, instead they probably made the whole world less safe in the long run.

I had no need to visit other countries to know that our country stood heads & shoulders above the rest of the world. But I did spend 3 years in postwar Japan from 1958-1961. Even though I was a kid I could see the stark difference between Japan & the US.

The US government doesn't lie about everything, it only lies when it thinks the political benefits are higher than telling the truth.

Can you even name one thing that the government hasn't lied about , post Trump. Factions of Trump's administration lied like rugs. Covid destroyed the trust, and the treatment of Trump by the Republican Party, destroyed the Republican Party as well.

Tony Fauci comes to mind with his numerous lies about Covid & off use drugs such as Ivermectin & Hydroxychloroquine were not only ineffective, he claimed they were dangerous as well. He did so because if an effective therapeutical existed, then there could be no EUA granted for the "Covid vaccines". All lies, and destructive lies at that. He lied and people died as a result of his damn lies.

No they have been lying for years. We just trusted our country, because we had no reason not to believe them. Once we learned that they have lied, everything comes into legitimately being questioned. What other lies have they told us, including 9/11? None of that comes easily for me to ask that. Nor does it come without feeling regret that I have to even ask it. But that is exactly what the results of lying produce, loss of unquestioned trust.

I still deeply love my country, that has not changed one bit, but my trust in both political parties has been devasted, because the RINO faction & The entire Democrat Party have joined forces to create the Uni-party that have fleeced the American taxpayers, worked to destroy the middle-class and have schemed to deliver this nation to those they are actually beholden to, the highest bidders between the elite classes & the foreign nations who both seek the destruction of this nation that stands in the way of securing absolute control of the world, and there thrust is not one doing good. The political partied make up the government. Governments at all levels have been dishonest brokers for decades, sowing divisions amongst the masses because a nation divided become more vulnerable than a nation united. The fact that you see a nation completely & utterly divided, is proof that governments at all levels have been busy destroying this nation, while at the same time enriching some at the expense of a large middle class which was the backbone of this nation's strength in unifying cohesion among the masses.

This is a Biblical battle of good vs. evil. These threats by other nations are more of a distraction to take eyes away from the enemies from within who are indeed out biggest threat, especially given the fact that they currently control our abilities to defend ourselves from the foreign threats. They also use the foreign threat as a way to generate fear, because elicits compliance.

This is obviously the most critical danger to the country. It does not imply, however, that foreign threats are a mirage and do not also have to be dealt with.

Of course it doesn't, but I see Russia as a far less threat than I do China, and with China collapsing financially makes it more likely that they might be tempted to do so, since we too have placed ourselves in dire financial straits. I also see Russia as more of a potential ally, more more so than the USSR ever was, but yet they were. I also see what Ukraine did to provoke Russia. Sadly, I see CIA fingerprints on the color revolution started to stir up the situation in Ukraine, which ultimately led to the coup d'état of the sitting democratically elected Ukrainian president, Viktor Yanukovych, for not signing the trade agreement with the EU. He was going to sign both agreements with the EU & Russia, because that actually gave Ukraine competition edge which was the best for Ukrainian people. The EU found out about his plans to sign both and told him that if he signed the Russian trade agreement they would rescind their trade agreement.

The proxy war with Russia was game planned and documents from the Rand Corp. add credence to that claim. Furthermore, Victoria Nuland has repeatedly stated her hatred for Putin & Russia making a personal appearance in Ukraine to support the Maidan Revolution and pushing for Ukraine entry into NATO, which Putin was quite clear that NATO expansion into Georgia or Ukraine were redlines as far as he was concerned. Potin spent time from 2014 until he invaded to resolve issues peacefully, and the Minks Accords were the result. One in 2014, one is 2015. Both were signed by Ukraine, but neither were ever implemented. After Russia invaded. Angela Merkle admitted that the Minsk Accords were signed to by time to train & equip Ukraine militarily. More confirmation that Russia & Putin were not being dealt with honesty by the NATO aligned nations. His only option left was invading Ukraine. From his opening incursion it dumbfounded military analysts who expected a much harsher opening assault, which led many to speculate if his heart was really into the invasion at all. Was it a tactic to take the invasion as serious to get some real movement as securing a peaceful resolution, many wondered. we will never know the truth because it was evident a peaceful resolution wasn't the desired outcome, with the release that Boris Johnson went to Zelenskyy and told him, under no circumstances was he to negotiate peace with Putin, and that he would receive the backing of NATO if he invaded. So far, the BRICS initiative has not accomplished its objective to dethrone the dollar as the reserve currency, but they have made inroads with regard to entering into trade agreements that bypass using dollars as the currency. The number of nations that have signed on to this initiative is telling that the world is tired of the hegemony the US uses against other nation both friend & for alike, to do their bidding & to adopt thigs that their societies are categorically opposed to.

So, while your insight has made me less animus against you receded considerably, I see that you still have no accepted that are nation is not the nation we once had pride in with unwavering confidence. It is not the nation that has changed, it's the hands we have allowed this nation to fall into. we better start joining forces as Americans or this nation will be lost. sadly, we have already destroyed Ukraine, for their future has been dying on the battlefields. If we keep it up, the battlefields will increase along with the killing, and that seems to be a part of the plan.

After all, they make no bones that they believe that the population has to decline, because the majority are no longer needed, for the plan to usher in human 2.0. A smarter version that they can control more effectively. They aren't just talking nonsense, this is their actual plan.

I'll end with saying all is not well with our beautiful nation, but if we are going to save it, we cannot try to save the world, for if we do, this nation will be lost. When we go the other nations will go as well. Time to focus on our nation, and only our nation.

Start calling your politicians that your state has sent to the nation's Capitol City, regardless of party affiliation & start unloading on them about the invasion & the waste of resources being spent to save other nations while our nation descends into hell. Jam the phones lines and give them no room to breath in. Keep it up by being relentless, it's the only peaceful way of feeling the heat we can generate upon them. We can't let up and ret after few phone calls. Make them fell the heat that they are screwing us, and we have had our fill of it.

It’s politics of the moment and politics of convenience. Very few have the sort of decades long steadiness that typifies Reagan style conservatism. (That doesn’t mean Reagan was always right as President, but going back to even his early writings, Reagan conservatism is a very solid foundation, at least.)

So, when Biden by hook or by crook takes over from Trump, instead of Reagan style EFFECTIVE persuasion and refocusing on basic principles, large numbers of FReepers seem to go half mad, adopting knee jerk opposition to anything Biden does, following most any false prophet or siren that comes along. Opposing the latest iteration of Russia IS correct. Biden gets that much right, but then his weak approach to doing so backfires. A large crowd of Biden’s opposition blindly obliges by both defending Russia and urging even MORE weakness on the part of the US.

Fools. We KNOW what US weakness leads to, and this time around, when it fully plays out, multiple parties will have nukes.
