As I understood it the major complaint about the food being dropped is that they were standard MREs, not the Hilal-approved Daily Humanitarian Rations normally given to refugees.

I only read one account of it, and the Arab male in that one was complaining about the flavor and consistency of them, not the overall fitness (halal/non-halal) for muslims to eat, although I have zero doubt that complaint came from other quarters...

Whoever gets the package first is the owner, and gets to sell it to whoever wasn’t fast enough.

So, these poor, starving Gazans are selling free food rather than eating it. Maybe all the crying done by the media and UN about the desperate situation of Gazans is not true.

LOL! Well, Humanitarian Daily Rations are 60% carbs, and usually contain items such as a shortbread cookie, an oatmeal cookie, and a Pop-Tart. So you're almost right...

HDRs are a lot cheaper to buy than MREs. Amazon has several sellers selling them for $35 for a case of 5 meals.

Something else I notice in the video aside from the fact they are all men, none seems at all skinny. They all look well-fed, if not somewhat overly-fed.
