Wow. Sounds like somebody "important".

OK. I didn’t know he has the liquid cash to pay the fine. Thought he would have to sell property.

In the all-caps message on Friday morning, Trump wrote: ‘THROUGH HARD WORK, TALENT, AND LUCK, I CURRENTLY HAVE ALMOST FIVE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS IN CASH, A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF WHICH I INTENDED TO USE IN MY CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT.”

I don’t think he should pay.

Let them sieze his property, let them destroy it.
Let the Nation and the World see how NY State does business.

Then, take the Judge, State, and AG to Federal Court for violation of his 4th and 8th Amendment rights. When he wins, sue the State of NY for Election interference and personal injury, from violation of Constitutional rights and Election interference. Let the NY State Employees watch their pension funds dissolve to pay off Trump and the GOP.

That’s going to be alot of angry cops, fireman, and teachers........

As a business owner and developer on a much smaller scale, I would say based on the size of his holdings that is not an over abundance of cash reserves. And certainly would cause serious business disruption to depleate it by 90%.

You know how much interest $545mm makes every day? Of course you don’t pay even one day before you have to do so!

This is all over my head.

Note that his lawyers said earlier, “... it was ‘practical impossibility’ to pay full amount.”

That sounded suspiciously dumb to me when they initially said it. But the lawyers and Trump can’t be dumb (can they?), so there are likely strategies that are not apparent.

Every business requires cash to exist and operate. The larger the business, the more cash and cash equivalent that it must have.

I would think that between him & his lawyers, they would be able to come up with the best answer to accomplish his purpose & at the same time do the most damage to the crooked judicial system in that state.

Perhaps “Judge” Engoron will triple the amount to nearly 2 billion dollars is fined. This prostitute of a “judge” might just try that.

There are only a handful of men in the world that could put up this kind bond (Bezo, Musk, Zuckerberg). That doesn't make the bond request any less outrageous.

Why would Trump claim he doesn’t have the cash, yet now he claims he does? And why would he make that boast?

Even if a sympathetic SCOTUS were to hear his case, why would they rule in his favor. Trump just shot himself in the foot. Yeah, we know he needs that cash as campaign money, but now he’ll have to spend it on that bond.

Once again, Trump yells in the middle of the night. Why can’t he stop this???

In the all-caps message on Friday morning, Trump wrote: ‘THROUGH HARD WORK, TALENT, AND LUCK, I CURRENTLY HAVE ALMOST FIVE HUNDRED MILLION DOLLARS IN CASH, A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF WHICH I INTENDED TO USE IN MY CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT.

‘THE OFTEN OVERTURNED POLITICAL HACK JUDGE ON THE RIGGED AND CORRUPT A.G. CASE, WHERE I HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG, KNEW THIS, WANTED TO TAKE IT AWAY FROM ME, AND THAT’S WHERE AND WHY HE CAME UP WITH THE SHOCKING NUMBER WHICH, COUPLED WITH HIS CRAZY INTEREST DEMAND, IS APPROXIMATELY $454,000,000.

‘I DID NOTHING WRONG EXCEPT WIN AN ELECTION IN 2016 THAT I WASN’T EXPECTED TO WIN, DID EVEN BETTER IN 2020, AND NOW LEAD, BY A LOT, IN 2024.THIS IS COMMUNISM IN AMERICA!

He added: THE NEW YORK A.G. USED A STATUTE TO GO AFTER ME THAT HAS NEVER BEEN USED BEFORE, NOT ONCE, FOR SUCH A PURPOSE. IT, IN AND OF ITSELF, IS SOOO UNCONSTITUTIONAL AND UNFAIR.

“Judge ordered him to pay $454 million as he appeals”

A HALF BILLION DOLLARS in fines for doing absolutely nothing wrong. This pisses me off so bad I can’t see straight. And they’re getting away with it with no resistance at all from anybody. People want to say this country isn’t completely lost. Yeah, right.
