Biden Regime to Finalize Regulations Targeting Gas-Powered Vehicles This Week

Electric vehicles are unpopular, expensive and bad for the environment but the Biden Regime is going into overdrive to force car companies to produce more EVs while they crackdown on gas-powered vehicle tailpipe emissions.

The EPA’s mandate is expected to be finalized Wednesday, according to Fox News.

The full plan will go into effect in 2027.

Excerpt from Fox News:

The Biden administration is expected this week to finalize highly anticipated regulations targeting gas-powered vehicle tailpipe emissions, considered the tip of the spear in its efforts to electrify the transportation sector.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is slated to issue the final rulemaking — which officials have boasted will incentivize greater adoption of electric vehicles (EV), but which opponents have criticized as a de facto mandate — as soon as Wednesday, industry sources told Fox News Digital. The regulations, a key part of President Biden’s climate agenda, would ultimately force automakers to more rapidly expand electric options in their fleets beginning in a matter of years.

Overall, under the proposal, which EPA unveiled in April 2023 and will go into effect in 2027, the White House projected that 67% of new sedan, crossover, SUV and light truck purchases would be electric by 2032. In addition, up to 50% of bus and garbage truck, 35% of short-haul freight tractor and 25% of long-haul freight tractor purchases could also be electric by then.

The White House said the proposal, which represents the most aggressive proposal of its kind ever proposed, would “accelerate the clean vehicle transition” and reduce oil imports by 20 billion barrels. Biden and climate activists have taken aim at the transportation sector over its high emissions profile — it alone produces roughly 29% of America’s greenhouse gas emissions, federal data shows.

They just write up the government attacks on the people like it’s old time Pravda. No questioning or opposition, and all their cutesy words and twisted sentences.

Biden is so hard-headed he can’t see what’s right in front of him. There is absolutely no excuse for pushing the over-priced, over-weight EVs & then I read the other day that they actually produce more emissions than the gas-powered vehicles, probably because of the manufacturing processes. An excellent reason for not owning one is the price alone. Some of us could absolutely not afford one. If they were priced competitively, they would be at the rock bottom of quality, I’m quite sure. That would be for a new vehicle. As a used car, it would be a worse deal than a Yugo. I have a perfectly good older used car that I paid $5000 for in 2016. Now it ‘s value wouldn’t make a down payment on a battery for an EV, let alone pay for one. Yet, it is a perfectly serviceable car. As a used car, the EV’s value could easily be less than the price of a battery for it & that would probably be the main objection for ever owning a used EV. Letting the government regulate the vehicle industry is like letting your cat or dog choose your investments.

I can’t wait until the fool tries to mandate that I have to run an electric combine or tractor. I guess the idiot won’t eat because there ain’t no charging station out on the north forty. America’s farms run on diesel fuel.

"The White House said the proposal, which represents the most aggressive proposal of its kind ever proposed, would 'accelerate the clean vehicle transition' and reduce oil imports by 20 billion barrels."

Wealthier commuters better able to absorb the higher costs of electricity may have to cut back on their entertainment expenses. Poorer Americans who cannot afford the higher bills may have to cut back on their longivity.
