Musk better go to the Moon and Mars by himself.
If he sits around waiting for NASA his equipment will rust away.

Got up early to watch it. AMAZING! No holds during countdown, ALL 33 ENGINES LIT, hot stage (separation of Starship from its Booster) was perfect, booster's engines apparently failed to reignite as it headed back towards Earth, Starship's flight lasted
40 MINUTES while MAINTAINING NOMINAL POSITIONING/FLIGHT PATH as it headed towards the Indian Ocean, Starship's heat tiles seems to have ENDURED THE PLASMA PHASE UPON DESCENT (MOST AMAZING VIDEO OF ENTIRE LAUNCH) but I'm guessing the craft was either destroyed shortly before touchdown or broke up during end of plasma phase..
BEST LAUNCH AND FLIGHT SINCE THE SHUTTLE!
Congrats, SpaceX !!!! You never fail to amaze.

“The first load of “humans” to send to the moon and Mars”
The first person on Mars will be a lesbian Muslim black woman, selected because of DIE, not competence
I predict death and disaster.

Humans can barely get their act together here on earth and now some are striving to continue with the same crap on mars???

This is an issue NO ONE TALKS ABOUT.. What form of government on Mars? It would have to be STRICT or everyone dies.

True
SpaceX is truly one of the greatest and should be most obvious evidence that an efficient enterprise can always run circles around the government in productivity

Maybe old joe can use it to bring 200 tons of food to gaza. They can land it right off the coast, or better, right on the beach!

Unfortunately some Musk-haters insist on ignoring the fact that these are “flight tests” so they can chortle and call it another failure.

Sure, but I’m sure spacex would prefer to have had a better result.

Communications (As we know it) is impossible during re-entry.................... Except that Starship is so huge that it “punches a hole” through the plasma, leaving an opening behind it through which signals can pass. SpaceX took advantage of that in this flight by installing Starlink antennas on the upper surface of the vehicle, allowing transmission of data up, away from the Earth, to the Starlink satellite constellation and back down from them to Earth. It looked like it worked for a while, but since the ship kept rotating I suspect the antennas were eventually burned away, or the plasma reached unshielded parts of it causing sudden destruction.

I know a plant that has bunkers with BFR’s as blast doors.
They have a public name for them and a private name for them.
Plant humor.

Starship?
C’mon...We may go to the stars one day, but it won’t be with rocket ships.
