Viktor Orban: Trump said he would force Ukraine to stop fighting Russia
The Washington Examiner ^ | March 11, 2024 | Joel Gehrke

Former President Donald Trump intends to end the war in Ukraine by ending the military assistance that Ukrainian forces require to fight Russia’s invasion, according to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

“He has a very clear vision that is hard to disagree with. He says the following: first, he will not give a single penny for the Russo-Ukrainian war,” Orban told Hungarian state media. “That’s why the war will end, because it’s obvious that Ukraine cannot stand on its own two feet.”

Orban offered that prognostication after returning to Budapest from the United States, where he met with American conservatives at the Heritage Foundation in Washington, D.C., and visited Trump at Mar-a-Lago in Florida. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s spokesman allowed that “it is not clear” what Trump’s plan might be, but he welcomed Pope Francis’s suggestion that Ukraine show “a white flag” in a bid for peace.

Between emigration and a low birth rate, Ukraine has been depopulating at an alarming rate for the last 30+ years even without considering any war casualties.

Right now due to millions of refugees and casualties in the Russo-Ukrainian War, the estimated population of Ukraine in 2024 is around 29 million.

In 1989, it was 52 million.

Let Putin have Ukraine and wave goodbye as it becomes his problem to rebuild the damn place.

I don't believe for one second that Putin wants all of Ukraine or even more than a 3rd of it where the majority speak Russian.

The USSR is dead and not coming back.

The average Ukrainian soldier is 43-years-old, according to Time Magazine. When the war began in February 2022, the average Ukrainian soldier was between 30 and 35 years old. Ukraine is battling mounting manpower problems more than 20 months into the war.

Biden’s extra $trillions in spending and the additional borrowing for it are unnecessary for the health of the U.S., and can be zeroed out entirely.

And even the spending during Trump’s term was at least a $trillion more than needed, with whole departments that could be axed.

With that deifict spending zeroed out we can invest more federal dollars as we should, in the military.

Massive amounts of federal land in the states west of the Mississippi can be sold off and 100% of the proceeds used to pay down the federal debt.

Social secuirty and Medicare can be adjusted/reformed so that general taxes will not have to rise massively to pay their future deficits.

Yep, we can't fix everything, however we can do a decent job of protecting America and American Citizens and providing opportunity for them to be self sufficient.

Ukraine is already Perfect and is always winning, so they don't need anything from America.

Ukraine is so wonderfully Westernized that they have rehabilitated Nazis to fully Beneficial Elite World Citizenship!

Hey DUmbass...not supporting Ukraine isn't "supporting Putin" just as "supporting Ukraine" isn't "supporting FReedom". But if wearing a blue and yellow flag on your lapel makes you feel better, by all means.

I guess you read your American WWI history in some Russian textbook, from the sound of your response.

“The US isn’t the entire world. They don’t “need” the US to continue to fight, most of Europe will supply them”

Then we should stop funding them immediately. In fact, since Europe can do it, why’d we ever start?

Well I guess you missed all the Kremlin talk and Putin saying the SVO will continue after they take Ukraine. If you think otherwise, you do not understand Russia or Russians, one iota.

Of course the Freeptards suck up to hearsay, not just any hearsay, but Orban's well-known duplicitous ramblings, filtered through his own state media.

On the other hand, Trump has spoken about Russia, in front of thousands, without the need to hide behind, of all things, the Hungarian State Media:

"We're watching a holocaust. We're watching something that I've never seen before. [Russia] is blowing up buildings, with children, with women, with professionals, with people, just people, they're blowing up indiscriminately. They're just shooting massive missiles and rockets into these buildings and everybody is dying."

"The numbers are far worse than what you're seeing on television. I don't know if they [are] keeping them down. When you see buildings being blown up and then they say one person died? Give me a break. Many people are dying and we're allowing this to happen."

"They have to stop it and they have to stop it now, but they don't respect the United States, and the United States is not doing anything about it. This is a holocaust, this is a horrible thing that's happening and you see it on television every night."

Naw, then they'd breed and grow like a bad fungus that needs to be totally eradicated from the planet.

That’s what they’ve been doing from the get-go. And they fought brilliantly with what little they had at the time. Trump was the first one to give them lethal aid. Orban’s a Putin stooge.

I learned my American History from my Great Grandparents, Grandparents and Parents, all modest working Americans in America from the pioneer days through Korea.

I learned it first hand from Vietnam to Ukraine. We know how to spot Foreign Warmongers.

WWI history is British and French Socialist Disinformation and False Flags used to Sucker the US into a foreign war and destroy The American People's trust in the US Federal Government.

100 thousand dead. And we didn't improve the situation. We made the situation worse. WWII was necessary (and just). Maybe it would not have happened if we did not get involved in WWI.

PIF, you might say I spent most of my life involved in areas directly related to dealing with Russian, Chinese, Israeli, French, British, N. Korean, Japanese, any other foreign military or intelligence adversary. I was an airborne infantryman assigned to the 82d Abn Div at age 17. We trained several months a year on Soviet doctrine. I worked a year in the US Army Regional Studies Detachment in 97-98, a required masters degree level course a select few Special Operator’s in SOCOM. I retired from the foreign service 38 years after becoming a paratrooper.

One thing I know as a professional is the Russian army and Russian diplomacy.

You might drink the Biden kool-aid but not me, and I say that respectfully.

I have been a freeper here since actually around ‘98.

If you have so little respect for me than to call me a dummy, that is your choice.

I read the Gulag Archipelago back in high school, and some parts have never left my mind.
