A draft law on the potential mobilisation of convicted and imprisoned persons may be submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, Ukraine's parliament, next week.

Source: Denys Maliuska, Minister of Justice, on the national joint 24/7 newscast

Quote: "I think it will be registered next week. At the next session meetings of the Verkhovna Rada, it will be voted on in the first reading and the second as well. I expect that will be in spring, no later, and I think not even the end of spring."

Details: The minister noted that "there are a lot (thousands) of prisoners and convicts who are prepared to become military personnel" and defend their country.

From other sources, I’ve read the number of total convicts is approximately 100,000 including the non eligible deserter prisoners. Cannon fodder is cannon fodder.

Copying Russia’s move

Are you saying these cons are going to take Bakhmut? You are correct, Russian convicts were enlisted into Wagner forces. They did help to relieve pressure on the Russian Army during the time it was being quickly enlarged into the juggernaut it now is. These prisoners, in the coming Russian offensive, will serve as little more than speed bumps as the Russians drive onto the Dnieper. Don’t you think it’s about time to let the Ukes negotiate?

Russia made them join them up as Mercenaries; Ukraine is not giving them a choice. The law may state they were given a choice. Ukraine is despert for bodies. When a country no longer has elections and Bandera’s (Nazi) party and Nazi military units you get the drift from freedom loving to corrupt.

No doubt you are familar with the term, Shanghaid?

Have you seen an videos in Ukraine of men being grabbed. I saw on where they go to an apartment, knock on the door, no answer; then four-five guys throw the circuit breakers. When someone comes out they rush the apartment when the door is open and drag them out, clubing them into submission.

They Dutch like to say you can’t get blood out of turnips.

Part of Ukraine’s failure to recruit is that there are over 100,000 missing bodies that are officially listed as missing who have been blow up by artillery or FABs. They refuse to pay the families the “insurance”; but they continue to issue Army pay for services.

The second part of the failure to recruit is that if you remain able bodied, you are never discharged. Guys have been in the front lines for over two years.

I have read and listened to accounts of soldiers on both sides of this war. The artillery kills 90% of them. They talk about being shell-shocked, loss of memory for days, bleeding from the concusion thru their skin, ears, eyes. Terrible war with no end... either death or amputee...

The accounts of the German 77th Div in the Battle of Hürtgen Forest, a German medic wrote in his diary horrifying accounts: No medicine, men chained to gun positions inside the concrete bunkers, machine gunners with assistant machine gunners with amputated hands, riflemen chained to foxholes, units at 25% strength living and the SS shoting those who tried to flee, surrender or wounded beyond usefulness.

BINGO. Naw, Macron still has a lot of military equipment that needs to be swapped out in the NATO exchange program, you know the one where old equipment is written off as MILITARY AID, and results in a 6B USD loss in the Pentagon because they were charging MSRP for old used stuff so it would not cost DOD as much to buy Next Generation Brand New Equipment. And in return Zielinski sells off the Black Sea access to the Brits; mining and farmland to outfits like Blackrock, industry and private sector to EU Contract Services to integrate Ukraine into the next century;).

Until CIA and NATO Officer losses are too high, the Brits and French will continue to man the Himars, missiles, the communications, and intelligence gathering - highly profitable selling US and NATO intelligence services to pay for our daily operations supporting US Forces.

The creative accounting methods and outright corruption are just one more way to squeeze another Glass of Wine for the Elites while the bleeders whine.

What the US should be doing is returning any Ukrainian who crossed the border illegally back to their homeland.

Russia did it as a way of emptying the prisons, and also reducing the social percentage if criminals.

They did it because they needed fighters, exactly why the Ukes will do it. Wagner used them as assault troops (cannon fodder). They helped the Russians buy time to fully mobilize. They’re the last thing the Ukes have to mobilize and will be thrown into the meat grinder ASAP. It’s a desperate move but these are desperate times in Ukraine.

Well, yes, they needed fighters, and cannon fodder for the brutal neat assaults.

But using prisoners also had a social purpose.

Russia’s convicts weren’t drafted, they were RECRUITED voluntarily - but with the end-game being a suspended sentence. I suspect Russia also had limits on who would qualify, so nasty killers maybe not (but I have evidence of that).

Many, perhaps most, of Ukraine’s convicts, as I understand it, are Draft Dodgers (not that I blame them, but that’s beside the point), deserters, or otherwise against the wall. For the handful of actual-supporting men still left in the country, they’d be best off not sharing a trench with these convicts.

Naw, that is BS.

Ukraine’s prisoners include those that criticized Zelynskyy’s political party, asked for peace talks, published newspaper articles on corruption, ran for office, tried to hold a banned religious service, etc. Basically, anyone not willing to fly a swastika.

Russia is doing what the US has done in the past: “Listen, boy, yah got caught diddling your neighbor’s 17-year old daughter and he is waiting outside with a shotgun. Here is a deal to consider.”

They’re releasing convicts and giving them guns?

This should be fun.

It’s clear what Biden gets from this war. It’s clear what democrats get, it’s clear how neocon republicans benefit. It’s clear how Boeing and Raytheon benefit. It is a total mystery (unless they are paid agent provocateurs) what the FR war pigs get out of their support for the truly evil people in our government.

It’s true, history absolutely repeats it’s self!

If I recall correctly NAZI GREMANY used something called “PENAL BATTALIONS” during the war because they were not only brutal but also EXPENDABLE.

If he searches hard enough I am sure that Zelenskyy can find another OSKAR DIRLEWANGER to lead these exemplary troops.
