The U.S. military port that is intended to provide humanitarian assistance to Gaza is expected to take up to two months to construct and requires over 1,000 U.S. servicemembers to complete, the Pentagon said.
In a press conference on Friday, Press secretary Maj. Gen. Patrick Ryder told reporters that that port would take at least 1,000 U.S. forces.
"We anticipate that it'll take over 1,000 U.S. forces to participate in building this capability," Ryder said.
"As far as time frame, several weeks, likely up to 60 days in order to deploy the forces and construct the causeway and the pier," he said.

Sounds to me like a thin excuse to put troops in yet another war zone under the guise of a “special operation”.
There was a national outrage........and nobody came.
That’s the assumption, which I agree with.
There has to be a gas-oil pipeline project . . . to be associated with this port, dock - to be built under fire from hostile forces.
by then war will be over - and isn’t the problem distribution? stampeding, Hamas shooting people clamoring for supplies - lots of supplies already go in - tons and tons but they go to Hamas. how will that be solved?

Israel exited Gaza about 20 yrs ago and P’s were left with an area to rule, develop as an ezperimental state - an obvious and giant failure.

Sounds to me like a bridgehead for the US military to go in to protect HAMAS.Once the “pier builders” are their it would be a natural development to put in several thousand “builders” with their building equipment, like rockets and tanks and stuff and then move in against the Israelis.The Democrats and O’Biden are hankering to see the Joos extinguished once and for all, at least in the Middle East for now.

I hope it goes like that but I suspect the DC Politburo sees an opportunity to wipe out a large percentage of the world’s Jews here. 1000 troops on the ground is enough to reinforce HAMAS on the pretext of putting a military force wall between IDF and HAMAS to protect “the civilians” and then proceeding to engage the IDF with carrier planes and B-52s Biden will then regain the support of the Jihad, or will think he will, in America and get rid of those inconvenient Joos. The Jewish billionaires will support it all.
US involvement is surely the goal.
