Tulsi Gabbard ‘Open’ to VP Slot
Breitbart ^ | 03/02/2024 | Jeff poor

Friday, during an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) said she was “open” to serving as a vice-presidential nominee.

“Tulsi, you’re being considered for a VP slot,” host Jesse Watters asked. “Is that something you’re open to?”

“I would be open to that,” Gabbard replied. “My mission is to serve our country. I want to be in a position to solve problems, Jesse, and we’ve got a lot of them to solve.”

Hi rlmorel,

I will watch it when I get a minute.

But she is all hat and no cattle.

Looks great. Tucker likes her and has her on his show every other day.

No good reason for that; she has no real insights on anything. Hasn't done anything either. Wants to let 16 year olds to vote (that would really help. TikTokking 16 year olds with the vote. Sheeeesh).

Wants to do away with the Electoral College.

With Republicans like her, who needs Rats?

I understand. Talk is cheap, especially from Democrats, but given Republicans these days, that doesn't look more promising on "our" side.

I honestly don't know. I assumed in the past what you assert about Tulsi Gabbard and her record on abortion is applicable, but I had to look at it for myself, and I found that in 2020 she introduced two bills related to abortion:

<.u> That said, I readily concede that both of these measures (introduced in 2020 during an election year where she was briefly a Presidential candidate) could have been intended to make her look to the execrable "Independent voters" like a Democrat "moderate" on Abortion, but both of these issues were proposed by her nearly nine months after she dropped out of the race and supported Joe Biden when she did.

I don't discount her actions as prep work for future political office after she left Congress, but...in her interview with Tucker Carlson linked above, she does NOT sound like a politician who thinks like that.

I know-they all get the Presidential Bug in their ear and hear the siren call, but...my entire life of evaluating people based on reads I make regarding words and actions don't really indicate that, though I could be wrong.

I would be interested in your thoughts on the interview. Thanks for being civil about this subject on which we clearly disagree. I do appreciate it.

Actually, check out my post at #160. It doesn't appear she wants to "do away with the Electoral College"...she wants to reform it. So, like you, I would be interested in what she means by that.

As for Tucker-I do watch him occasionally (this was probably the first time in a month or two-I think) but I don't worship him like some do. I just like it when he speaks out eloquently on an issue that is important to me, when all I hear is silence. So I appreciate that. (I don't have cable at all, and absolutely do not watch television anymore, stopped back in the mid-late Nineties. I didn't know she was on Carlson's show all the time, so I accept that at face value from you)

I don't know about her desire give 16 year old kids the ability to vote, but I concede that is possible, especially given those years where she was the Vice Chair of the DNC. I would adamantly oppose that.

Thank you for your kind remarks.

IMO, Vivek should be and I think will be, Trump’s VP choice. Part of why Trump may be playing this card close to his chest may be a certain outcry. But hopefully, Trump sees and I think I do, that Vivek is the one to carry the MAGA flag forward and upward, broader and wider.

I don’t know about his WEF thing, but what I’ve heard him say is not consistent with his continuing with the demonic WEF.

Hey, America’s survival and recovery has to extend beyond Vivek, so if Vivek is successful and popular as President, then someone else hopefully even better, can take his place in 2036. That tells me that in the next four years a good non-politician MAGA VP for Vivek would have to emerge.

Let’s watch and see how God does this. I’ve got my popcorn ready.

:)

LOL, I think much the same thing when I hear Ramaswamy and WEF mentioned together...he does seem like too much of a loose cannon in some respects to be a tool of those buttoned-down WEF Nazi wanna-be types...

God gave me a great brain and strong body. He wants me to use them and achieve my goals. God does not need to do me any more favors or choose a president. He did his job. Now it is Upto us to use brain & body and do what is needed. I don’t want God to pick anyone.

All I know is Ramaswamy is 1000 times richer, 500 times smarter and can speak 100 times better than you ever will.

I don’t want God to pick anyone.

Sorry to hear that. Nevertheless,

[H]e most High rules in the kingdom of men, and gives it to whomsoever he will, and sets up over it the basest of men.
Daniel 4:17.

God will do as He pleases even without your permission.

Why the unprovoked hostile response?

Did I say something to threaten the potential pick of Ramaswamy in your mind by referring to his occasional verbal forays into "loose cannon" territory?

If you had been on this site for a longer period of time, you might have noticed that many of us occasionally refer to President Trump as a "loose cannon". It isn't always negative, either. Many of us desire a loose cannon in government. Also, any candidate who I would even consider supporting walks as close to the truth without having to engage in focus groups, campaign managers, or scriptwriters. Being an occasional "loose cannon" with respect to the campaign team is the price that is paid.

If you wish to engage in civil discourse, you might say something along the lines of:

"rlmorel, I don't think Vivek Ramaswamy is a loose cannon. Why do you characterize him is such a way. I see that as a negative, and I disagree. Can you expand on this?"

And I might respond.

Then we might both get something out of the exchange, and both be better off for it.

Very good...by the way, just so you know, I am on-board for Ramaswamy. My posts largely weren’t about him or her for VP. It was about the impression I had of her before I saw the interview, and afterwards.

Has anybody asked her why she endorsed Biden in 2020 ? I’m watching her interview with Tucker now and I bet he won’t ask her either .
